his divine power has granted to us all

your faith supply moral excellence2     

and in moral excellence1 knowledge2

 and in self-control patience2

 in godliness brotherly affection2 and  
in brotherly          affection1 love4  
#jja3jjh ,for if these things are yours 
and abound1 they make you to be not     
idle nor unfruitful to the knowledge of 
our ,lord ,jesus ,christ4  #jja3jji ,for
 he who lacks these things is blind1    
seeing only what is near1               
having forgotten the cleansing from his 
old sins4  #jja3jaj ,therefore1         
brothers1,the word for brothers here and
 where          context allows may also 
be correctly translated brothers        
and sisters or siblings4 be more        
diligent to make your          calling  
and election sure4  ,for if you do these
 things1          you will never        
stumble4  #jja3jaa ,for thus you will be
 richly supplied with the entrance into 
the eternal ,kingdom of our ,lord and   
,savior1 ,jesus ,christ4  #jja3jab      

,therefore ,i will not be negligent to  
remind you of these things1             
though you know them1 and are           
established in the present truth4

 this first1 that no prophecy of        
,scripture is          of private

prophecy ever came by the will of man3  
but holy men          of ,god spoke1    
being moved by the ,holy ,spirit4

among the people1 as false              
teachers will also be among you1 who    
will secretly bring in                  
destructive heresies1 denying even the  
,master who bought them1                
bringing on themselves swift            
destruction4  #jjb3jjb ,many will follow
 their immoral,,tr reads destructive    
instead of immoral ways1 and as a       
result1 the way of the truth            

will be maligned4  #jjb3jjc ,in         
covetousness they will exploit you with 
deceptive words3          whose sentence
 now from of old doesn't linger1 and    
their          destruction will not     
slumber4  #jjb3jjd ,for if ,god didn't  
spare angels when they sinned1 but cast 
them down to ,tartarus,tartarus is      
another name for ,hell1          and    
committed them to pits of darkness1 to  
be reserved for judgment2  #jjb3jje and 
didn't spare the ancient world1 but     
preserved ,noah with          seven     
others1 a preacher of righteousness1    
when he brought          a flood on the 
world of the ungodly2  #jjb3jjf and     
turning the cities of ,sodom and        
,gomorrah into ashes1          condemned
 them to destruction1 having made them  
an example          to those who would  
live ungodly2  #jjb3jjg and delivered   
righteous ,lot1 who was very distressed 
by the lustful          life of the     
wicked  #jjb3jjh 7for that righteous man
 dwelling among them1 was tormented     

in his righteous soul from day to day   
with seeing and          hearing lawless
 deeds73  #jjb3jji the ,lord knows how  
to deliver the godly out of temptation  
and to          keep the unrighteous    
under punishment for the day of         
judgment2  #jjb3jaj but chiefly those   
who walk after the flesh in the lust of 
defilement1          and despise        
authority4  ,daring1 self-willed1 they  
are not          afraid to speak evil of
 dignitaries2  #jjb3jaa whereas angels1 
though greater in might and power1 don't
 bring          a railing judgment      
against them before the ,lord4  #jjb3jab
 ,but these1 as unreasoning creatures1  
born natural animals to be              
taken and destroyed1 speaking evil in   
matters about which they          are   
ignorant1 will in their destroying      
surely be destroyed1  #jjb3jac receiving
 the wages of unrighteousness2 people   
who count          it pleasure to revel 
in the daytime1 spots and blemishes1    
reveling in their deceit while they     

feast with you2  #jjb3jad having eyes   
full of adultery1 and who can't cease   
from sin2          enticing unsettled   
souls2 having a heart trained in greed2 
children of cursing2  #jjb3jae forsaking
 the right way1 they went astray1 having
 followed the way          of ,balaam   
the son of ,beor1 who loved the wages of
 wrong-doing2  #jjb3jaf but he was      
rebuked for his own disobedience4  ,a   
mute donkey spoke          with a man's 
voice and stopped the madness of the    
prophet4  #jjb3jag ,these are wells     
without water1 clouds driven by a storm2
          for whom the blackness of     
darkness has been reserved forever4     
#jjb3jah ,for1 uttering great swelling  
words of emptiness1 they entice         
in the lusts of the flesh1 by           
licentiousness1 those who are           
indeed escaping from those who live in  
error2  #jjb3jai promising them liberty1
 while they themselves are bondservants 
of corruption2 for a man is brought into
 bondage by          whoever overcomes  

him4  #jjb3jbj ,for if1 after they have 
escaped the defilement of the world     
through the knowledge of the ,lord and  
,savior ,jesus ,christ1          they   
are again entangled in it and overcome1 
the last state          has become worse
 for them than the first4  #jjb3jba ,for
 it would be better for them not to have
 known the way          of              
righteousness1 than1 after knowing it1  
to turn back from          the holy     
commandment delivered to them4  #jjb3jbb
 ,but it has happened to them according 
to the true proverb1          ,the dog  
turns to his own vomit again1,proverbs  
#bf3aa          and the sow that has    
washed to wallowing in the mire4        
#jjc3jja ,this is now1 beloved1 the     
second letter that ,i have written to   
you2          and in both of them ,i    
stir up your sincere mind by reminding  
you2  #jjc3jjb that you should remember 
the words which were spoken before      
by the holy prophets1 and the           
commandments of us1 the apostles        

of the ,lord and ,savior3  #jjc3jjc     
knowing this first1 that in the last    
days mockers will come1          walking
 after their own lusts1  #jjc3jjd and   
saying1 ,where is the promise of his    
coming8  ,for1 from the day             
that the fathers fell asleep1 all things
 continue as they          were from the
 beginning of the creation4  #jjc3jje   
,for this they willfully forget1 that   
there were heavens from          of old1
 and an earth formed out of water and   
amid water1          by the word of     
,god2  #jjc3jjf by which means the world
 that then was1 being overflowed        
with water1 perished4  #jjc3jjg ,but the
 heavens that now are1 and the earth1 by
 the same word          have been stored
 up for fire1 being reserved against the
 day          of judgment and           
destruction of ungodly men4  #jjc3jjh   
,but don't forget this one thing1       
beloved1 that one day          is with  
the ,lord as a thousand years1 and a    
thousand years          as one day4     

#jjc3jji ,the ,lord is not slow         
concerning his promise1 as some count   
slowness2          but is patient with  
us1 not wishing that any should perish1 
but that all should come to repentance4 
#jjc3jaj ,but the day of the ,lord will 
come as a thief in the night2           
in which the heavens will pass away with
 a great noise1          and the        
elements will be dissolved with fervent 
heat1          and the earth and the    
works that are in it will be burned up4 
#jjc3jaa ,therefore since all these     
things will be destroyed like this1     
what kind of people ought you to be in  
holy living and godliness1  #jjc3jab    
looking for and earnestly desiring the  
coming of the day of ,god1              
which will cause the burning heavens to 
be dissolved1          and the elements 
will melt with fervent heat8  #jjc3jac  
,but1 according to his promise1 we look 
for new heavens and a          new      
earth1 in which righteousness dwells4   
#jjc3jad ,therefore1 beloved1 seeing    

that you look for these things1         
be diligent to be found in peace1       
without blemish and blameless           
in his sight4  #jjc3jae ,regard the     
patience of our ,lord as salvation2 even
 as our beloved          brother ,paul  
also1 according to the wisdom given to  
him1          wrote to you2  #jjc3jaf as
 also in all of his letters1 speaking in
 them of these things4          ,in     
those1 there are some things that are   
hard to understand1          which the  
ignorant and unsettled twist1 as they   
also do          to the other           
,scriptures1 to their own destruction4  
#jjc3jag ,you therefore1 beloved1       
knowing these things beforehand1        
beware1 lest being carried away with the
 error of the wicked1          you fall 
from your own steadfastness4  #jjc3jah  
,but grow in the grace and knowledge of 
our ,lord and          ,savior ,jesus   
,christ4  ,to him be the glory both now 
and forever4  ,amen4
