attendant1 and sat down4          ,the  
eyes of all in the synagogue were

tell them1 ,today1 this ,scripture has  
been fulfilled          in your hearing4

 wondered at the gracious          words

because they knew that he was the

held          on to him1 so that he

,but he said to them1 ,i must preach the

,god to the other cities also4  ,for    
this reason ,i          have been sent4

 on him and heard          the word of  
,god1 that he was standing by the lake

boats standing by the lake1 but the     
fishermen had          gone out of them1

,he entered into one of the boats1 which
 was ,simon's1          and asked him to
 put out a little from the land4        
,he sat down and taught the multitudes

finished speaking1 he said to ,simon1   
,put out into          the deep1 and let

,simon answered him1 ,master1 we worked 
all night1 and took nothing2            
but at your word ,i will let down the

 they caught a great multitude of fish1

,they beckoned to their partners in the 
other boat1 that they          should   
come and help them4  ,they came1 and    
filled both boats1          so that they

of the law sitting by1          who had

power of the ,lord was with him to heal

paralyzed man on a cot1 and they sought 
to bring him in to lay before ,jesus4

 in because of the multitude1           
they went up to the housetop1 and let   
him down through the tiles          with

that the ,son of ,man has authority     
on earth to forgive sins 7he said to the

arise1 and take up your cot1 and go to

departed to his house1 glorifying ,god4

 answered them1 ,those who are healthy  
have no need          for a physician1

have not come to call the righteous1 but
 sinners to repentance4  #jje3jcc ,they 
said to him1 ,why do ,john's disciples  
often fast and pray1          likewise  
also the disciples of the ,pharisees1   
but yours          eat and drink8

 the friends of the bridegroom fast1    
while the bridegroom is with them8

the bridegroom will be taken away       
from them4  ,then they will fast in

parable to them4  ,no one puts a piece  
from          a new garment on an old   
garment1 or else he will tear the new1  
and also the piece from the new will not

new wine into old wineskins1 or else the
 new wine          will burst the skins1

 and it will be spilled1 and the skins

wine must be put into fresh wineskins1

man having drunk old wine immediately   
desires new1 for he says1          ',the

happened on the second ,sabbath after

you it is given to know the mysteries of

 seed is the word of ,god4  #jjh3jab    
,those along the road are those who     

hear1 then the devil comes1          and
 takes away the word from their heart1  
that they may not          believe and

are they who1 when they hear1 receive   
the word          with joy2 but these   
have no root1 who believe for a while1  
then fall away in time of temptation4

thorns1 these are those who have heard1 
and as they go on their way they are

pleasures of life1 and bring no fruit to

that those          who enter in may see

,be careful therefore how you hear4     
,for whoever has1 to him          will  
be given2 and whoever doesn't have1 from

,his mother and brothers came to him1   
and they could not come          near

told him by some saying1 ,your mother

 brothers are these          who hear

,now it happened on one of those days1  
that he entered          into a boat1   
himself and his disciples1 and he said

came down on          the lake1 and they
 were taking on dangerous amounts of

the wind and the raging          of the 
water1 and they ceased1 and it was calm4

marveled1          saying one to        
another1 ,who is this1 then1 that he    
commands          even the winds and the

,they arrived at the country of the

 ashore1 a certain man out of the city  
who had demons for a long time met him4 
,he wore no clothes1          and didn't
 live in a house1 but in the tombs4

and with a loud voice said1 ,what do ,i 
have to do          with you1 ,jesus1

unclean spirit to come out of the man4  

,for the unclean spirit had often seized
 the man4          ,he was kept under   
guard1 and bound with chains and        
fetters4          ,breaking the bands   
apart1 he was driven by the demon

him1 ,what is your name8  ,he said1     
,legion1          for many demons had

 him that he would not command them to

,now there was there a herd of many pigs
 feeding on the mountain1          and  
they begged him that he would allow them
 to enter into those4          ,he

 out from the man1 and entered into the 
pigs1          and the herd rushed down 
the steep bank into the lake1           
and were drowned4  #jjh3jcd ,when those 
who fed them saw what had happened1 they
 fled1          and told it in the city 
and in the country4  #jjh3jce ,people   
went out to see what had happened4      
,they came to ,jesus1          and found

 the man from whom the demons had gone  
out1          sitting at ,jesus' feet1  
clothed and in his right mind2          
and they were afraid4  #jjh3jcf ,those  
who saw it told them how he who had been
 possessed          by demons was       
healed4  #jjh3jcg ,all the people of the
 surrounding country of the ,gadarenes  
asked          him to depart from them1 
for they were very much afraid4         
,he entered into the boat1 and returned4
  #jjh3jch ,but the man from whom the   
demons had gone out begged him          
that he might go with him1 but ,jesus   
sent him away1 saying1  #jjh3jci ,return
 to your house1 and declare what great  
things ,god has          done for you4  
,he went his way1 proclaiming throughout
          the whole city what great     
things ,jesus had done for him4

returned1 that the multitude welcomed   
him1          for they were all waiting

 man named ,jairus1 and he was a ruler  

of the synagogue4  ,he fell down at     
,jesus' feet1 and begged          him to
 come into his house1  #jjh3jdb for he  
had an only daughter1 about twelve years
 of age1 and she          was dying4    
,but as he went1 the multitudes pressed 
against him4  #jjh3jdc ,a woman who had 
a flow of blood for twelve years1 who   
had spent          all her living on    
physicians1 and could not be healed by  
any1  #jjh3jdd came behind him1 and     
touched the fringeor1 tassel of his     
cloak1          and immediately the flow
 of her blood stopped4  #jjh3jde ,jesus 
said1 ,who touched me8  ,when all denied
 it1 ,peter and those          with him 
said1 ,master1 the multitudes press and 
jostle you1          and you say1 ',who 
touched me8'  #jjh3jdf ,but ,jesus said1
 ,someone did touch me1 for ,i perceived
 that power          has gone out of me4
  #jjh3jdg ,when the woman saw that she 
was not hidden1 she came trembling1     
and falling down before him declared to 
him in the presence          of all the 

people the reason why she had touched   
him1          and how she was healed    
immediately4  #jjh3jdh ,he said to her1 
,daughter1 cheer up4  ,your faith has   
made you well4          ,go in peace4   
#jjh3jdi ,while he still spoke1 one from
 the ruler of the synagogue's           
house came1 saying to him1 ,your        
daughter is dead4          ,don't       
trouble the ,teacher4  #jjh3jej ,but    
,jesus hearing it1 answered him1 ,don't 
be afraid4          ,only believe1 and  
she will be healed4  #jjh3jea ,when he  
came to the house1 he didn't allow      
anyone to enter in1          except     
,peter1 ,john1 ,james1 the father of the
 child1          and her mother4        
#jjh3jeb ,all were weeping and mourning 
her1 but he said1 ,don't weep4          
,she isn't dead1 but sleeping4  #jjh3jec
 ,they were ridiculing him1 knowing that
 she was dead4  #jjh3jed ,but he put    
them all outside1 and taking her by the 
hand1          he called1 saying1

returned1 and she rose up immediately4  
,he commanded that something be given to

 amazed1 but he charged them to tell no 
one          what had been done4

of the twelve together1 and gave them   
power          and authority over all

receive you1 when you depart from that  
city1          shake off even the dust  
from your feet for a testimony

preaching the          ,good ,news1 and

,herod the tetrarch heard of all that   
was done by him2          and he was    
very perplexed1 because it was said by  
some that ,john          had risen from

,elijah had appeared1 and by others that
 one          of the old prophets had   
risen again4  #jji3jji ,herod said1     
,john ,i beheaded1 but who is this1     
about whom ,i          hear such things8

apostles1 when they had returned1 told  
him what things they          had done4 
,he took them1 and withdrew apart to a  
deserted          place of a city called

to them of the ,kingdom of ,god1        
and he cured those who needed healing4

they may go into          the           

surrounding villages and farms1 and     
lodge1 and get food1          for we are

something to eat4          ,they said1  
,we have no more than five loaves and   
two fish1          unless we should go  
and buy food for all these people4

,baptizer1' but others say1 ',elijah1'  
and others1 that one of the old prophets

them1 ,but who do you say that ,i am8

#jji3jba ,but he warned them1 and       
commanded them to tell this to no one1  
#jji3jbb saying1 ,the ,son of ,man must 
suffer many things1 and be rejected     
by the elders1 chief priests1 and       
scribes1 and be killed1          and the
 third day be raised up4  #jji3jbc ,he  
said to all1 ,if anyone desires to come 
after me1          let him deny himself1
 take up his cross1,,tr1 ,,nu add daily

desires to save his life will lose it1  
but whoever          will lose his life 
for my sake1 the same will save it4

if he gains the whole world1            
and loses or forfeits his own self8

 me and of my words1 of him             

will the ,son of ,man be ashamed1 when  
he comes in his glory1          and the 
glory of the ,father1 and of the holy

truth3  ,there are some of those who    
stand here1 who will in no way taste of 
death1 until they          see the      
,kingdom of ,god4  #jji3jbh ,it happened
 about eight days after these sayings1  
that he took with him ,peter1 ,john1 and
 ,james1 and went up          onto the  
mountain to pray4  #jji3jbi ,as he was  
praying1 the appearance of his face was 
altered1          and his clothing      
became white and dazzling4  #jji3jcj    
,behold1 two men were talking with him1 
who were ,moses and ,elijah1  #jji3jca  
who appeared in glory1 and spoke of his 
departure1literally1          exodus    
which he was about to accomplish at     
,jerusalem4  #jji3jcb ,now ,peter and   
those who were with him were heavy with 
sleep1          but when they were fully
 awake1 they saw his glory1          and
 the two men who stood with him4

parting from him1 that ,peter           
said to ,jesus1 ,master1 it is good for 
us to be here4          ,let's make     
three tents3  one for you1 and one for  
,moses1          and one for ,elijah1

,while he said these things1 a cloud    
came and overshadowed them1          and
 they were afraid as they entered into  
the cloud4  #jji3jce ,a voice came out  
of the cloud1 saying1 ,this is my       
beloved ,son4          ,listen to him6  
#jji3jcf ,when the voice came1 ,jesus   
was found alone4  ,they were silent1    
and told no one in those days any of the
 things which          they had seen4

when they had come down from            
the mountain1 that a great multitude met

crowd called out1 saying1 ,teacher1 ,i  
beg          you to look at my son1 for

a spirit takes him1 he suddenly cries   

out1 and it          convulses him so   
that he foams1 and it hardly departs    
from him1          bruising him

disciples to cast it out1 and they

,faithless and perverse generation1     
how long shall ,i be with you and bear  
with you8          ,bring your son here4

the demon threw him down and convulsed  
him violently4  ,but ,jesus rebuked the 
unclean spirit1          and healed the 
boy1 and gave him back to his father4   
#jji3jdc ,they were all astonished at   
the majesty of ,god4          ,but while
 all were marveling at all the things   
which ,jesus did1          he said to   
his disciples1  #jji3jdd ,let these     
words sink into your ears1 for the ,son 
of ,man          will be delivered up   
into the hands of men4  #jji3jde ,but   
they didn't understand this saying4  ,it
 was concealed from them1          that 
they should not perceive it1 and they   

were afraid to ask          him about   
this saying4  #jji3jdf ,there arose an  
argument among them about which of them 
was the greatest4  #jji3jdg ,jesus1     
perceiving the reasoning of their       
hearts1 took a little child1            
and set him by his side1  #jji3jdh and  
said to them1 ,whoever receives this    
little child in my name                 
receives me4  ,whoever receives me      
receives him who sent me4          ,for 
whoever is least among you all1 this one

answered1 ,master1 we saw someone       
casting out demons          in your     
name1 and we forbade him1 because he    
doesn't          follow with us4

forbid him1 for he who is not against

pass1 when the days were near that he   
should be          taken up1 he intently

didn't receive him1 because he was      
traveling with his face          set

they said1 ,lord1          do you want  
us to command fire to come down from the

what kind          of spirit you are4

come to destroy men's lives1            
but to save them4  ,they went to another

 way1 a certain man said to him1 ,i want
          to follow you wherever you go1

,the foxes have holes1 and the birds of 
the sky          have nests1 but the    
,son of ,man has no place to lay his

dead1          but you go and announce

bid farewell to those who are at my

him1 ,no one1 having put his hand to the
 plow1          and looking back1 is fit

,now after these things1 the ,lord also 
appointed seventy others1          and  
sent them two by two ahead of

into every city and place1 where he was

to them1 ,the harvest is indeed         
plentiful1          but the laborers are
 few4  ,pray therefore to the ,lord of  
the harvest1 that he may send out

 lambs among wolves4  #jaj3jjd ,carry no
 purse1 nor wallet1 nor sandals4  ,greet

,jesus1 the ,nazarene1 who was a prophet
 mighty          in deed and word before

certain women of our company amazed us1

eyes were opened1 and they recognized

within us1          while he spoke to us

  ,why do doubts arise          in your

,touch me and see1 for a spirit doesn't 
have flesh and bones1          as you

 said this1 he showed them his hands and

didn't believe for joy1 and wondered1   
he said to them1 ,do you have anything

 to them1 ,this is what ,i told you1    
while ,i was still          with you1   
that all things which are written in the
 law of ,moses1          the prophets1  
and the psalms1 concerning me must be

their minds1 that they might understand

them1 ,thus it is written1 and thus it  
was necessary          for the ,christ  
to suffer and to rise from the dead the
