the fifth year          of king

word of ,yahweh came expressly to       
,ezekiel the priest1 the son          of
 ,buzi1 in the land of the ,chaldeans by
 the river ,chebar2          and the    
hand of ,yahweh was there on him4       
#jja3jjd ,i looked1 and behold1 a stormy
 wind came out of the north1          a 
great cloud1 with flashing lightning1   
and a brightness round          about   
it1 and out of the midst of it as it    
were glowing metal1          out of the 
midst of the fire4  #jja3jje ,out of the
 midst of it came the likeness of four  

living creatures4          ,this was    
their appearance3  they had the likeness
 of a man4  #jja3jjf ,everyone had four 
faces1 and each one of them had four    
wings4  #jja3jjg ,their feet were       
straight feet2 and the sole of their    
feet          was like the sole of a    
calf's foot2 and they sparkled

had the hands of a man under their wings
 on their four sides2          and they 
four had their faces and their wings

one to another2 they didn't turn        
when they went2 each one went straight

of their faces1 they had the face of a  
man2          and they four had the face
 of a lion on the right side2           
and they four had the face of an ox on  
the left side2          they four had   
also the face of an eagle4  #jja3jaa    
,their faces and their wings were       
separate above2          two wings of   
each one were joined one to another1 and

 two          covered their bodies4

forward3  where the spirit was to go1   
they went2 they didn't turn when they   
went4  #jja3jac ,as for the likeness of 
the living creatures1 their appearance  
was like burning coals of fire1 like the
 appearance of torches3          the    
fire went up and down among the living  
creatures2          and the fire was    
bright1 and out of the fire went forth  
lightning4  #jja3jad ,the living        
creatures ran and returned as the       
appearance          of a flash of       
lightning4  #jja3jae ,now as ,i saw the 
living creatures1 behold1 one wheel on  
the earth beside the living creatures1  
for each of the four          faces of  
it4  #jja3jaf ,the appearance of the    
wheels and their work was like a beryl3 
and they four had one likeness2 and     
their appearance and their          work
 was as it were a wheel within a wheel4

their four directions3          they    

didn't turn when they went4  #jja3jah   
,as for their rims1 they were high and  
dreadful2 and they four          had    
their rims full of eyes round about4    
#jja3jai ,when the living creatures     
went1 the wheels went beside them2      
and when the living creatures were      
lifted up from the earth1          the  
wheels were lifted up4  #jja3jbj        
,wherever the spirit was to go1 they    
went2 there was the spirit to go3       
and the wheels were lifted up beside    
them2 for the spirit          of the    
living creature was in the wheels4

and when those stood1 these stood2      
and when those were lifted up from the  
earth1 the wheels          were lifted  
up beside them3  for the spirit of the  
living          creature was in the

living creature there was the likeness  
of an expanse1 like the awesome crystal 
to look on1          stretched forth    
over their heads above4  #jja3jbc ,under

 the expanse were their wings straight1 
the one toward          the other3  each
 one had two which covered on this side1
          and every one had two which   
covered on that side1 their bodies4

noise of their wings like the noise     
of great waters1 like the voice of the  
,almighty1 a noise          of tumult   
like the noise of an army3  when they   
stood1          they let down their

above the expanse that was over their   
heads3          when they stood1 they   
let down their wings4  #jja3jbf ,above  
the expanse that was over their heads   
was the likeness of          a throne1  
as the appearance of a sapphireor1 lapis
 lazuli stone2          and on the      
likeness of the throne was a likeness as
 the appearance          of a man on it 
above4  #jja3jbg ,i saw as it were      
glowing metal1 as the appearance of fire
 within          it round about1 from   
the appearance of his waist and upward2 

and from the appearance of his waist and
 downward ,i saw          as it were the
 appearance of fire1 and there was      
brightness          round about him4

that is in the cloud in the day         
of rain1 so was the appearance of the   
brightness round about4          ,this  
was the appearance of the likeness of   
the glory of ,yahweh4          ,when ,i 
saw it1 ,i fell on my face1 and ,i heard
 a voice          of one that spoke4

stand on your feet1 and ,i will

entered into me when he spoke to me1 and

 said to me1 ,son of man1 ,i send you to
 the children of ,israel1          to   
nations that are rebellious1 which have 
rebelled against me3          they and  
their fathers have transgressed against 
me even          to this very day4

stiff-hearted3 ,i am sending you        
to them2 and you shall tell them1 ,thus 
says the ,lord ,yahweh4  #jjb3jje ,they1
 whether they will hear1 or whether they
 will forbear1          7for they are a 
rebellious house71 yet shall know that  
there          has been a prophet among 
them4  #jjb3jjf ,you1 son of man1 don't 
be afraid of them1 neither be afraid    
of their words1 though briers and thorns
 are with you1 and you          do dwell
 among scorpions3  don't be afraid of   
their words1          nor be dismayed at
 their looks1 though they are a         
rebellious house4  #jjb3jjg ,you shall  
speak my words to them1 whether they    
will hear1          or whether they will
 forbear2 for they are most rebellious4 
#jjb3jjh ,but you1 son of man1 hear what
 ,i tell you2 don't be you              
rebellious like that rebellious house3  
open your mouth1          and eat that  
which ,i give you4  #jjb3jji ,when ,i   
looked1 behold1 a hand was put forth to 
me2 and1 behold1          a scroll of a

it before me3  and it was written within
 and without2          and there were   
written therein lamentations1 and

 me1 ,son of man1 eat that which you    
find2          eat this scroll1 and go1 
speak to the house of ,israel4  #jjc3jjb
 ,so ,i opened my mouth1 and he caused  
me to eat the scroll4  #jjc3jjc ,he said
 to me1 ,son of man1 cause your belly to
 eat1          and fill your bowels with
 this scroll that ,i give you4          
,then did ,i eat it2 and it was in my   
mouth as honey for sweetness4  #jjc3jjd 
,he said to me1 ,son of man1 go1 get you
 to the house of ,israel1          and  
speak with my words to them4  #jjc3jje  
,for you are not sent to a people of a  
strange speech and of          a hard   
language1 but to the house of ,israel2

strange speech and of a hard language1  
whose words you can not understand4     
,surely1 if ,i sent you          to     

them1 they would listen to you4

not listen to you2 for they will        
not listen to me3  for all the house of 
,israel are of hard          forehead

 ,i have made your face hard against    
their faces1          and your forehead

,as an adamant harder than flint have ,i
 made your forehead3          don't be  
afraid of them1 neither be dismayed at  
their looks1          though they are a 
rebellious house4  #jjc3jaj ,moreover he
 said to me1 ,son of man1 all my words  
that ,i shall          speak to you     
receive in your heart1 and hear with    
your ears4  #jjc3jaa ,go1 get you to    
them of the captivity1 to the children  
of your people1          and speak to   
them1 and tell them1 ,thus says the     
,lord ,yahweh2          whether they    
will hear1 or whether they will forbear4

up1 and ,i heard behind me the voice    

of a great rushing1 saying1 ,blessed be 
the glory of ,yahweh          from his  
place4  #jjc3jac ,i heard the noise of  
the wings of the living creatures as    
they          touched one another1 and  
the noise of the wheels beside them1    
even the noise of a great rushing4      
#jjc3jad ,so the ,spirit lifted me up1  
and took me away2 and ,i went           
in bitterness1 in the heat of my spirit2
 and the hand of ,yahweh          was   
strong on me4  #jjc3jae ,then ,i came to
 them of the captivity at ,tel ,aviv1   
that lived          by the river        
,chebar1 and to where they lived2 and ,i
 sat there          overwhelmed among   
them seven days4  #jjc3jaf ,it happened 
at the end of seven days1 that the word 
of ,yahweh          came to me1 saying1 
#jjc3jag ,son of man1 ,i have made you a
 watchman to the house of ,israel3      
therefore hear the word at my mouth1 and
 give them warning from me4  #jjc3jah   
,when ,i tell the wicked1 ,you shall    
surely die2 and you give him          no

 warning1 nor speak to warn the wicked  
from his wicked way1          to save   
his life2 the same wicked man shall die 
in his iniquity2          but his blood 
will ,i require at your hand4  #jjc3jai 
,yet if you warn the wicked1 and he     
doesn't turn from his wickedness1       
nor from his wicked way1 he shall die in
 his iniquity2          but you have    
delivered your soul4  #jjc3jbj ,again1  
when a righteous man does turn from his 
righteousness1          and commit      
iniquity1 and ,i lay a stumbling block  
before him1          he shall die3      
because you have not given him warning1 
he shall die in his sin1 and his        
righteous deeds which he has            
done shall not be remembered2 but his   
blood will ,i require          at your  
hand4  #jjc3jba ,nevertheless if you    
warn the righteous man1 that the        
righteous          not sin1 and he does 
not sin1 he shall surely live1          
because he took warning2 and you have

 of ,yahweh was there on me2 and he said
 to me1 ,arise1          go forth into  
the plain1 and ,i will there talk with  
you4  #jjc3jbc ,then ,i arose1 and went 
forth into the plain3  and behold1      
the glory of ,yahweh stood there1 as the
 glory which ,i saw          by the     
river ,chebar2 and ,i fell on my face4

me1 and set me on my feet2          and 
he spoke with me1 and said to me1 ,go1  
shut yourself          within your      
house4  #jjc3jbe ,but you1 son of man1  
behold1 they shall lay bands on you1    
and shall bind you with them1 and you   
shall not go out among them3  #jjc3jbf  
and ,i will make your tongue cleave to  
the roof of your mouth1          that   
you shall be mute1 and shall not be to  
them a reprover2          for they are a
 rebellious house4  #jjc3jbg ,but when  
,i speak with you1 ,i will open your    
mouth1 and you          shall tell them1
 ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,he who 
hears1          let him hear2 and he who

 forbears1 let him forbear3          for
 they are a rebellious house4  #jjd3jja 
,you also1 son of man1 take a tile1 and 
lay it before you1          and portray 
on it a city1 even ,jerusalem3  #jjd3jjb
 and lay siege against it1 and build    
forts against it1          and cast up a
 mound against it2 set camps also       
against it1          and plant battering
 rams against it round about4  #jjd3jjc 
,take for yourself an iron pan1 and set 
it for a wall of iron          between  
you and the city3  and set your face    
toward it1          and it shall be     
besieged1 and you shall lay siege       
against it4          ,this shall be a   
sign to the house of ,israel4  #jjd3jjd 
,moreover lie you on your left side1 and
 lay the iniquity of          the house 
of ,israel on it2 according to the      
number of the days          that you    
shall lie on it1 you shall bear their   
iniquity4  #jjd3jje ,for ,i have        
appointed the years of their iniquity to
 be          to you a number of days1   

even three hundred ninety days3         
so shall you bear the iniquity of the   
house of ,israel4  #jjd3jjf ,again1 when
 you have accomplished these1 you shall 
lie on your          right side1 and    
shall bear the iniquity of the house of 
,judah3          forty days1 each day   
for a year1 have ,i appointed it to you4
  #jjd3jjg ,you shall set your face     
toward the siege of ,jerusalem1         
with your arm uncovered2 and you shall  
prophesy against it4  #jjd3jjh ,behold1 
,i lay bands on you1 and you shall not  
turn you from          one side to the  
other1 until you have accomplished the  
days          of your siege4  #jjd3jji  
,take for yourself also wheat1 and      
barley1 and beans1 and lentils1         
and millet1 and spelt1 and put them in  
one vessel1 and make          you bread 
of it2 according to the number of the   
days that          you shall lie on your
 side1 even three hundred ninety days1  
shall you eat of it4  #jjd3jaj ,your    
food which you shall eat shall be by    

weight1 twenty shekels          a day3  
from time to time shall you eat it4     
#jjd3jaa ,you shall drink water by      
measure1 the sixth part of a hin3       
from time to time shall you drink4      
#jjd3jab ,you shall eat it as barley    
cakes1 and you shall bake it          in
 their sight with dung that comes out of
 man4  #jjd3jac ,yahweh said1 ,even thus
 shall the children of ,israel eat their
          bread unclean1 among the      
nations where ,i will drive them4       
#jjd3jad ,then said ,i1 ,ah ,lord       
,yahweh6 behold1 my soul has not been   
polluted2          for from my youth up 
even until now have ,i not eaten        
of that which dies of itself1 or is torn
 of animals2          neither came there
 abominable flesh into my mouth4        
#jjd3jae ,then he said to me1 ,behold1  
,i have given you cow's dung            
for man's dung1 and you shall prepare   
your bread thereon4  #jjd3jaf ,moreover 
he said to me1 ,son of man1 behold1 ,i  
will break the staff          of bread  

in ,jerusalem3  and they shall eat bread
 by weight1          and with           
fearfulness2 and they shall drink water 
by measure1          and in dismay3     
#jjd3jag that they may want bread and   
water1 and be dismayed one with another1
          and pine away in their        
iniquity4  #jje3jja ,you1 son of man1   
take a sharp sword2 as a barber's razor 
shall you take it to you1 and shall     
cause it to pass on          your head  
and on your beard3  then take balances  
to weigh1          and divide the hair4 
#jje3jjb ,a third part shall you burn in
 the fire in the midst of the city1     
when the days of the siege are          
fulfilled2 and you shall take          a
 third part1 and strike with the sword  
round about it2          and a third    
part you shall scatter to the wind1 and 
,i will          draw out a sword after 
them4  #jje3jjc ,you shall take of it a 
few in number1 and bind them in your    
skirts4  #jje3jjd ,of these again shall 
you take1 and cast them into the midst  

of the fire1 and burn them in the fire2 
from it shall a fire          come forth
 into all the house of ,israel4         
#jje3jje ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  
,this is ,jerusalem2 ,i have set her    
in the midst of the nations1 and        
countries are round about her4  #jje3jjf
 ,she has rebelled against my ordinances
 in doing wickedness more          than 
the nations1 and against my statutes    
more than the countries          that   
are round about her2 for they have      
rejected my ordinances1          and as 
for my statutes1 they have not walked in
 them4  #jje3jjg ,therefore thus says   
the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,because you are    
turbulent          more than the nations
 that are round about you1 and have     
not walked in my statutes1 neither have 
kept my ordinances1          neither    
have done after the ordinances of the   
nations that are          round about   
you2  #jje3jjh therefore thus says the  
,lord ,yahweh3  ,behold1 ,i1 even ,i1   
am against you2 and ,i will execute     

judgments in the midst          of you  
in the sight of the nations4  #jje3jji  
,i will do in you that which ,i have not
 done1 and whereunto ,i          will   
not do any more the like1 because of all
 your abominations4  #jje3jaj ,therefore
 the fathers shall eat the sons in the  
midst of you1          and the sons     
shall eat their fathers2 and ,i will    
execute          judgments on you2 and  
the whole remnant of you will ,i scatter
          to all the winds4  #jje3jaa   
,therefore1 as ,i live1 says the ,lord  
,yahweh1 surely1 because you            
have defiled my sanctuary with all your 
detestable things1          and with all
 your abominations1 therefore will ,i   
also diminish you2          neither     
shall my eye spare1 and ,i also will    
have no pity4  #jje3jab ,a third part of
 you shall die with the pestilence1     
and with famine shall they be consumed  
in the midst of you2          and a     
third part shall fall by the sword round
 about you2          and a third part ,i

 will scatter to all the winds1 and will
          draw out a sword after them4

accomplished1 and ,i will cause         
my wrath toward them to rest1 and ,i    
shall be comforted2          and they   
shall know that ,i1 ,yahweh1 have spoken
 in my zeal1          when ,i have

 ,moreover ,i will make you a desolation
 and a reproach among          the      
nations that are round about you1 in the
 sight of all          that pass by4

a taunt1 an instruction and          an 
astonishment1 to the nations that are   
round about you1          when ,i shall 
execute judgments on you in anger and in
 wrath1          and in wrathful        
rebukes2 7,i1 ,yahweh1 have spoken it27 
#jje3jaf when ,i shall send on them the 
evil arrows of famine1          that are
 for destruction1 which ,i will send to 
destroy you3          and ,i will       
increase the famine on you1 and will    

break your          staff of bread2     
#jje3jag and ,i will send on you famine 
and evil animals1 and they shall        
bereave you2 and pestilence and blood   
shall pass through you2          and ,i 
will bring the sword on you3  ,i1       
,yahweh1 have spoken it4  #jjf3jja ,the 
word of ,yahweh came to me1 saying1     
#jjf3jjb ,son of man1 set your face     
toward the mountains of ,israel1        
and prophesy to them1  #jjf3jjc and say1
 ,you mountains of ,israel1 hear the    
word of the          ,lord ,yahweh3     
,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh to the     
mountains          and to the hills1 to 
the watercourses and to the valleys3    
,behold1 ,i1 even ,i1 will bring a sword
 on you1 and ,i will          destroy   
your high places4  #jjf3jjd ,your altars
 shall become desolate1 and your incense
 altars          shall be broken2 and ,i
 will cast down your slain men          
before your idols4  #jjf3jje ,i will lay
 the dead bodies of the children of     
,israel          before their idols2 and

 ,i will scatter your bones round       
about your altars4  #jjf3jjf ,in all    
your dwelling places the cities shall be
 laid waste1          and the high      
places shall be desolate2 that your     
altars          may be laid waste and   
made desolate1 and your idols may be    
broken and cease1 and your incense      
altars may be hewn down1          and   
your works may be abolished4  #jjf3jjg  
,the slain shall fall in the midst of   
you1 and you shall know          that ,i
 am ,yahweh4  #jjf3jjh ,yet will ,i     
leave a remnant1 in that you shall have 
some that          escape the sword     
among the nations1 when you shall be    
scattered          through the          
countries4  #jjf3jji ,those of you that 
escape shall remember me among the      
nations          where they shall be    
carried captive1 how that ,i have been  
broken with their lewd heart1 which has 
departed from me1          and with     
their eyes1 which play the prostitute   
after their idols3          and they    

shall loathe themselves in their own    
sight for the evils          which they 
have committed in all their             
abominations4  #jjf3jaj ,they shall know
 that ,i am ,yahweh3  ,i have not said  
in vain          that ,i would do this  
evil to them4  #jjf3jaa ,thus says the  
,lord ,yahweh3  ,smite with your hand1  
and stamp with          your foot1 and  
say1 ,alas6 because of all the evil     
abominations          of the house of   
,israel2 for they shall fall by the     
sword1          by the famine1 and by   
the pestilence4  #jjf3jab ,he who is far
 off shall die of the pestilence2 and he
 who is          near shall fall by the 
sword2 and he who remains and is        
besieged shall die by the famine3  thus 
will ,i accomplish          my wrath on 
them4  #jjf3jac ,you shall know that ,i 
am ,yahweh1 when their slain men shall  
be          among their idols round     
about their altars1 on every high hill1 
on all the tops of the mountains1 and   
under every green tree1          and    

under every thick oak1 the places where 
they offered          sweet savor to all
 their idols4  #jjf3jad ,i will stretch 
out my hand on them1 and make the land  
desolate          and waste1 from the   
wilderness toward ,diblah1 throughout   
all          their habitations3  and    
they shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4     
#jjg3jja ,moreover the word of ,yahweh  
came to me1 saying1  #jjg3jjb ,you1 son 
of man1 thus says the ,lord ,yahweh to  
the land          of ,israel1 ,an end3  
the end is come on the four corners     
of the land4  #jjg3jjc ,now is the end  
on you1 and ,i will send my anger on    
you1          and will judge you        
according to your ways2 and ,i will     
bring          on you all your          
abominations4  #jjg3jjd ,my eye shall   
not spare you1 neither will ,i have     
pity2          but ,i will bring your   
ways on you1 and your abominations shall
          be in the midst of you3  and  
you shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4      
#jjg3jje ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  

,an evil1 an only evil2 behold1 it      
comes4  #jjg3jjf ,an end is come1 the   
end is come2 it awakes against you2     
behold1 it comes4  #jjg3jjg ,your doom  
is come to you1 inhabitant of the land3 
the time is come1 the day is near1 a day
 of tumult1          and not of joyful  
shouting1 on the mountains4  #jjg3jjh   
,now will ,i shortly pour out my wrath  
on you1 and accomplish my          anger
 against you1 and will judge you        
according to your ways2          and ,i 
will bring on you all your abominations4
  #jjg3jji ,my eye shall not spare1     
neither will ,i have pity3          ,i  
will bring on you according to your     
ways2 and your          abominations    
shall be in the midst of you2 and you   
shall know          that ,i1 ,yahweh1 do

behold1 it comes3  your doom is gone    
forth2          the rod has blossomed1  
pride has budded4  #jjg3jaa ,violence is
 risen up into a rod of wickedness2 none
 of them          shall remain1 nor of  

their multitude1 nor of their wealth3   
neither shall there be eminency among   
them4  #jjg3jab ,the time is come1 the  
day draws near3  don't let the buyer    
rejoice1          nor the seller mourn2 
for wrath is on all the multitude of it4
  #jjg3jac ,for the seller shall not    
return to that which is sold1           
although they be yet alive3  for the    
vision is touching          the whole   
multitude of it1 none shall return2     
neither shall          any strengthen   
himself in the iniquity of his life4    
#jjg3jad ,they have blown the trumpet1  
and have made all ready2 but none       
goes to the battle2 for my wrath is on  
all the multitude of it4  #jjg3jae ,the 
sword is outside1 and the pestilence and
 the famine within3          he who is  
in the field shall die with the sword3  
and he who is in the city1 famine and   
pestilence shall devour him4  #jjg3jaf  
,but those of those who escape shall    
escape1 and shall be on          the    
mountains like doves of the valleys1 all

 of them moaning1          every one in 
his iniquity4  #jjg3jag ,all hands shall
 be feeble1 and all knees shall be weak 
as water4  #jjg3jah ,they shall also    
gird themselves with sackcloth1 and     
horror shall          cover them2 and   
shame shall be on all faces1 and        
baldness          on all their heads4   
#jjg3jai ,they shall cast their silver  
in the streets1 and their gold          
shall be as an unclean thing2 their     
silver and their gold shall          not
 be able to deliver them in the day of  
the wrath of ,yahweh3          they     
shall not satisfy their souls1 neither  
fill their bowels2          because it  
has been the stumbling block of their   
iniquity4  #jjg3jbj ,as for the beauty  
of his ornament1 he set it in majesty2  
but they made the images of their       
abominations and their                  
detestable things therein3  therefore   
have ,i made it to them          as an  
unclean thing4  #jjg3jba ,i will give it
 into the hands of the strangers for a  

prey1          and to the wicked of the 
earth for a spoil2 and they             
shall profane it4  #jjg3jbb ,my face    
will ,i turn also from them1 and they   
shall profane          my secret place2 
and robbers shall enter into it1        
and profane it4  #jjg3jbc ,make the     
chain2 for the land is full of bloody   
crimes1          and the city is full of

mischief1 and rumor shall be on rumor2  
and they shall seek a vision of the     
prophet2 but the law          shall     
perish from the priest1 and counsel from
 the elders4  #jjg3jbg ,the king shall  
mourn1 and the prince shall be clothed  
with desolation1          and the hands 

of the people of the land shall be      
troubled3          ,i will do to them   
after their way1 and according to their 
own judgments will ,i judge them2 and   
they shall know that          ,i am     
,yahweh4  #jjh3jja ,it happened in the  
sixth year1 in the sixth month1 in the  
fifth          day of the month1 as ,i  
sat in my house1 and the elders         
of ,judah sat before me1 that the hand  
of the ,lord ,yahweh fell          there
 on me4  #jjh3jjb ,then ,i saw1 and     
behold1 a likeness as the appearance of 
fire2          from the appearance of   
his waist and downward1 fire2 and from  
his waist and upward1 as the appearance 
of brightness1          as it were

the form of a hand1 and took me by a    
lock of my head2          and the       
,spirit lifted me up between earth and  
the sky1          and brought me in the 
visions of ,god to ,jerusalem1          
to the door of the gate of the inner    
court that looks toward          the    

north2 where was the seat of the image  
of jealousy1          which provokes to

of the ,god of ,israel was there1       
according to          the appearance

,then said he to me1 ,son of man1 lift  
up your eyes now the way          toward
 the north4  ,so ,i lifted up my eyes   
the way toward          the north1 and  
see1 northward of the gate of the altar 
this          image of jealousy in the

 man1 see you what they do8 even the    
great          abominations that the    
house of ,israel do commit here1        
that ,i should go far off from my       
sanctuary8 but you shall          again 
see yet other great abominations4

the court2 and when ,i looked1          
behold1 a hole in the wall4  #jjh3jjh   
,then said he to me1 ,son of man1 dig   
now in the wall3          and when ,i   
had dug in the wall1 behold1 a door4    

#jjh3jji ,he said to me1 ,go in1 and see
 the wicked abominations that           
they do here4  #jjh3jaj ,so ,i went in  
and saw2 and see1 every form of creeping
 things1          and abominable        
animals1 and all the idols of the house 
of ,israel1          portrayed on the   
wall round about4  #jjh3jaa ,there stood
 before them seventy men of the elders  
of the house          of ,israel2 and in
 the midst of them stood ,jaazaniah     
the son of ,shaphan1 every man with his 
censer in his hand2          and the    
odor of the cloud of incense went up4   
#jjh3jab ,then said he to me1 ,son of   
man1 have you seen what the elders      
of the house of ,israel do in the dark1 
every man in his          chambers of   
imagery8 for they say1 ,yahweh doesn't  
see us2          ,yahweh has forsaken   
the land4  #jjh3jac ,he said also to me1
 ,you shall again see yet other great   
abominations which they do4  #jjh3jad   
,then he brought me to the door of the  
gate of ,yahweh's house          which  

was toward the north2 and see1 there sat
 the women          weeping for ,tammuz4
  #jjh3jae ,then said he to me1 ,have   
you seen this1 son of man8 you          
shall again see yet greater abominations
 than these4  #jjh3jaf ,he brought me   
into the inner court of ,yahweh's house2
 and see1          at the door of the   
temple of ,yahweh1 between the porch    
and the altar1 were about twenty-five   
men1 with their backs          toward   
the temple of ,yahweh1 and their faces  
toward the east2          and they were 
worshipping the sun toward the east4

seen this1 son of man8          ,is it a
 light thing to the house of ,judah that
 they commit the          abominations  
which they commit here8 for they have   
filled the land          with violence1 
and have turned again to provoke me to

,therefore will ,i also deal in wrath2  
my eye shall not spare1          neither

 will ,i have pity2 and though they cry 
in my ears          with a loud voice1  
yet will ,i not hear them4  #jji3jja    
,then he cried in my ears with a loud   
voice1 saying1 ,cause you          them 
that have charge over the city to draw  
near1 every man          with his       
destroying weapon in his hand4  #jji3jjb
 ,behold1 six men came from the way of  
the upper gate1          which lies     
toward the north1 every man with his    
slaughter          weapon in his hand2  
and one man in the midst of them        
clothed in linen1 with a writer's       
inkhorn by his side4          ,they went
 in1 and stood beside the bronze altar4 
#jji3jjc ,the glory of the ,god of      
,israel was gone up from the cherub1    
whereupon it was1 to the threshold of   
the house3          and he called to the
 man clothed in linen1 who had the      
writer's          inkhorn by his side4  
#jji3jjd ,yahweh said to him1 ,go       
through the midst of the city1          
through the midst of ,jerusalem1 and set

 a mark on the foreheads          of the
 men that sigh and that cry over all the
 abominations          that are done in

others he said in my hearing1 ,go you   
through          the city after him1 and
 strike3  don't let your eye spare1     
neither have you pity2  #jji3jjf kill   
utterly the old man1 the young man and  
the virgin1          and little children
 and women2 but don't come near any     
man on whom is the mark3  and begin at  
my sanctuary4          ,then they began 
at the old men that were before the     
house4  #jji3jjg ,he said to them1      
,defile the house1 and fill the courts  
with the slain3  go you forth4  ,they   
went forth1 and struck          in the  
city4  #jji3jjh ,it happened1 while they
 were smiting1 and ,i was left1         
that ,i fell on my face1 and cried1 and 
said1 ,ah ,lord ,yahweh6          will  
you destroy all the residue of ,israel  
in your pouring          out of your    
wrath on ,jerusalem8  #jji3jji ,then    

said he to me1 ,the iniquity of the     
house of ,israel and          ,judah is 
exceedingly great1 and the land is full 
of blood1          and the city full of 
perversion3  for they say1 ,yahweh has  
forsaken the land1 and ,yahweh doesn't  
see4  #jji3jaj ,as for me also1 my eye  
shall not spare1 neither will ,i have   
pity1          but ,i will bring their  
way on their head4  #jji3jaa ,behold1   
the man clothed in linen1 who had the   
inkhorn by          his side1 reported  
the matter1 saying1 ,i have done as you 
have commanded me4  #jaj3jja ,then ,i   
looked1 and see1 in the expanse that was
 over the head          of the cherubim 
there appeared above them as it were a  
sapphireor1          lapis lazuli stone1
 as the appearance of the likeness      
of a throne4  #jaj3jjb ,he spoke to the 
man clothed in linen1 and said1 ,go in  
between          the whirling wheels1   
even under the cherub1 and fill both    
your hands with coals of fire from      
between the cherubim1          and      

scatter them over the city4  ,he went in
 as ,i watched4  #jaj3jjc ,now the      
cherubim stood on the right side of the 
house1          when the man went in2   
and the cloud filled the inner court4   
#jaj3jjd ,the glory of ,yahweh mounted  
up from the cherub1 and stood           
over the threshold of the house2 and the
 house was filled          with the     
cloud1 and the court was full of the    
brightness          of ,yahweh's glory4 
#jaj3jje ,the sound of the wings of the 
cherubim was heard even to          the 
outer court1 as the voice of ,god       
,almighty when he speaks4  #jaj3jjf ,it 
came to pass1 when he commanded the man 
clothed in linen1          saying1 ,take
 fire from between the whirling wheels1 
from between          the cherubim1 that
 he went in1 and stood beside a wheel4  
#jaj3jjg ,the cherub stretched forth his
 hand from between the cherubim         
to the fire that was between the        
cherubim1 and took of it1          and  
put it into the hands of him who was    

clothed in linen1          who took it

in the cherubim the form of a man's hand

,i looked1 and behold1 four wheels      
beside the cherubim1 one wheel          
beside one cherub1 and another wheel    
beside another cherub2          and the 
appearance of the wheels was like a     
beryl stone4  #jaj3jaj ,as for their    
appearance1 they four had one likeness1 
as if a wheel have been within a wheel4 
#jaj3jaa ,when they went1 they went in  
their four directions3          they    
didn't turn as they went1 but to the    
place where the head          looked    
they followed it2 they didn't turn as   
they went4  #jaj3jab ,their whole body1 
and their backs1 and their hands1       
and their wings1 and the wheels1 were   
full of eyes round about1          even 
the wheels that they four had4  #jaj3jac
 ,as for the wheels1 they were called in
 my hearing1          the whirling      
wheels4  #jaj3jad ,every one had four   

faces3  the first face was the face     
of the cherub1 and the second face was  
the face of a man1          and the     
third face the face of a lion1 and the  
fourth the face          of an eagle4   
#jaj3jae ,the cherubim mounted up3  this
 is the living creature that ,i         
saw by the river ,chebar4  #jaj3jaf     
,when the cherubim went1 the wheels went
 beside them2 and when          the     
cherubim lifted up their wings to mount 
up from the earth1          the wheels  
also didn't turn from beside them4      
#jaj3jag ,when they stood1 these stood2 
and when they mounted up1          these
 mounted up with them3  for the spirit  
of the living          creature was in  
them4  #jaj3jah ,the glory of ,yahweh   
went forth from over the threshold of   
the house1          and stood over the  
cherubim4  #jaj3jai ,the cherubim lifted
 up their wings1 and mounted up from the
 earth          in my sight when they   
went forth1 and the wheels beside them3 
and they stood at the door of the east  

gate of ,yahweh's house2          and   
the glory of the ,god of ,israel was    
over them above4  #jaj3jbj ,this is the 
living creature that ,i saw under the   
,god of ,israel          by the river   
,chebar2 and ,i knew that they were     
cherubim4  #jaj3jba ,every one had four 
faces1 and every one four wings2        
and the likeness of the hands of a man  
was under their wings4  #jaj3jbb ,as for
 the likeness of their faces1 they were 
the faces which ,i          saw by the  
river ,chebar1 their appearances and    
themselves2          they went every one
 straight forward4  #jaa3jja ,moreover  
the ,spirit lifted me up1 and brought me
 to          the east gate of ,yahweh's 
house1 which looks eastward3            
and see1 at the door of the gate        
twenty-five men2          and ,i saw in 
the midst of them ,jaazaniah the son of 
,azzur1          and ,pelatiah the son  
of ,benaiah1 princes of the people4     
#jaa3jjb ,he said to me1 ,son of man1   
these are the men who devise iniquity1  

and who give wicked counsel in this     
city2  #jaa3jjc who say1 ,the time is   
not near to build houses3          this 
city is the caldron1 and we are the     
flesh4  #jaa3jjd ,therefore prophesy    
against them1 prophesy1 son of man4     
#jaa3jje ,the ,spirit of ,yahweh fell on
 me1 and he said to me1          ,speak1
 ,thus says ,yahweh3  ,thus have you    
said1 house of ,israel2          for ,i 
know the things that come into your     
mind4  #jaa3jjf ,you have multiplied    
your slain in this city1 and you have   
filled          the streets of it with  
the slain4  #jaa3jjg ,therefore thus    
says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,your slain    
whom you          have laid in the midst
 of it1 they are the flesh1 and this    
city is the caldron2 but you shall be   
brought forth out          of the midst 
of it4  #jaa3jjh ,you have feared the   
sword2 and ,i will bring the sword on   
you1          says the ,lord ,yahweh4   
#jaa3jji ,i will bring you forth out of 
the midst of it1 and deliver you        

into the hands of strangers1 and will   
execute judgments among you4  #jaa3jaj  
,you shall fall by the sword2 ,i will   
judge you in the border          of     
,israel2 and you shall know that ,i am  
,yahweh4  #jaa3jaa ,this city shall not 
be your caldron1 neither shall you be   
the flesh          in the midst of it2  
,i will judge you in the border of      
,israel2  #jaa3jab and you shall know   
that ,i am ,yahweh3  for you have not   
walked          in my statutes1 neither 
have you executed my ordinances1        
but have done after the ordinances of   
the nations that are          round     
about you4  #jaa3jac ,it happened1 when 
,i prophesied1 that ,pelatiah the son   
of ,benaiah died4  ,then fell ,i down on
 my face1 and cried          with a loud
 voice1 and said1 ,ah ,lord ,yahweh6    
will you make          a full end of the
 remnant of ,israel8  #jaa3jad ,the word
 of ,yahweh came to me1 saying1         
#jaa3jae ,son of man1 your brothers1    
even your brothers1 the men          of 

your relatives1 and all the house of    
,israel1 all of them1          are they 
to whom the inhabitants of ,jerusalem   
have said1          ,get you far from   
,yahweh2 to us is this land given for a 
possession4  #jaa3jaf ,therefore say1   
,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,whereas 
,i have removed          them far off   
among the nations1 and whereas ,i have  
scattered          them among the       
countries1 yet will ,i be to them a     
sanctuary          for a little while in
 the countries where they are come4     
#jaa3jag ,therefore say1 ,thus says the 
,lord ,yahweh3  ,i will gather you      
from the peoples1 and assemble you out  
of the countries where you          have
 been scattered1 and ,i will give you   
the land of ,israel4  #jaa3jah ,they    
shall come there1 and they shall take   
away all the detestable          things 
of it and all the abominations of it    
from there4  #jaa3jai ,i will give them 
one heart1 and ,i will put a new spirit 
within you2          and ,i will take   

the stony heart out of their flesh1 and 
will          give them a heart of      
flesh2  #jaa3jbj that they may walk in  
my statutes1 and keep my ordinances1    
and do them3  and they shall be my      
people1 and ,i will          be their   
,god4  #jaa3jba ,but as for them whose  
heart walks after the heart of their    
detestable things and their             
abominations1 ,i will bring their       
way on their own heads1 says the ,lord  
,yahweh4  #jaa3jbb ,then did the        
cherubim lift up their wings1 and the   
wheels          were beside them2 and   
the glory of the ,god of ,israel was    
over them above4  #jaa3jbc ,the glory of
 ,yahweh went up from the midst of the  
city1          and stood on the mountain
 which is on the east side of the city4 
#jaa3jbd ,the ,spirit lifted me up1 and 
brought me in the vision by          the
 ,spirit of ,god into ,chaldea1 to them 
of the captivity4          ,so the      
vision that ,i had seen went up from me4
  #jaa3jbe ,then ,i spoke to them of the

 captivity all the things that ,yahweh  
had shown me4  #jab3jja ,the word of    
,yahweh also came to me1 saying1        
#jab3jjb ,son of man1 you dwell in the  
midst of the rebellious house1          
who have eyes to see1 and don't see1 who
 have ears to hear1          and don't  
hear2 for they are a rebellious house4  
#jab3jjc ,therefore1 you son of man1    
prepare you stuff for removing1         
and remove by day in their sight2 and   
you shall remove from          your     
place to another place in their sight3  
it may be they          will consider1  
though they are a rebellious house4     
#jab3jjd ,you shall bring forth your    
stuff by day in their sight1          as
 stuff for removing2 and you shall go   
forth yourself at          even in their
 sight1 as when men go forth into exile4
  #jab3jje ,dig you through the wall in 
their sight1 and carry out thereby4     
#jab3jjf ,in their sight shall you bear 
it on your shoulder1          and carry 
it forth in the dark2 you shall cover   

your face1          that you don't see  
the land3  for ,i have set you for a    
sign          to the house of ,israel4

,i brought forth my stuff by day1       
as stuff for removing1 and in the even  
,i dug through the wall          with my
 hand2 ,i brought it forth in the dark1 
and bore it          on my shoulder in  
their sight4  #jab3jjh ,in the morning  
came the word of ,yahweh to me1 saying1 
#jab3jji ,son of man1 has not the house 
of ,israel1 the rebellious house1       
said to you1 ,what do you8  #jab3jaj    
,say you to them1 ,thus says the ,lord  
,yahweh3  ,this burden          concerns
 the prince in ,jerusalem1 and all the  
house of ,israel          among whom    
they are4  #jab3jaa ,say1 ,i am your    
sign3  like as ,i have done1 so shall it
 be done          to them2 they shall go
 into exile1 into captivity4  #jab3jab  
,the prince who is among them shall bear
 on his shoulder          in the dark1  
and shall go forth3  they shall dig     

through          the wall to carry out  
thereby3  he shall cover his face1      
because he shall not see the land with  
his eyes4  #jab3jac ,my net also will ,i
 spread on him1 and he shall be taken in
 my snare2          and ,i will bring   
him to ,babylon to the land of the      
,chaldeans2          yet shall he not   
see it1 though he shall die there4

wind all who are round about            
him to help him1 and all his bands2 and 
,i will draw out          the sword

disperse them          among the        
nations1 and scatter them through the

a few men of them from the sword1       
from the famine1 and from the           
pestilence2 that they may declare       
all their abominations among the nations
 where they come2          and they

your bread with quaking1 and drink your 
water          with trembling and with

people of the land1 ,thus says the ,lord
 ,yahweh          concerning the        
inhabitants of ,jerusalem1 and the land 
of ,israel3  ,they shall eat their bread
 with fearfulness1          and drink   
their water in dismay1 that her land may
 be desolate1          and despoiled of 
all that is therein1 because of the     
violence          of all those who dwell

 inhabited shall be laid waste1 and the 
land          shall be a desolation2 and
 you shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4

is this proverb that you have in the    
land          of ,israel1 saying1 ,the  
days are prolonged1 and every vision    
fails8  #jab3jbc ,tell them therefore1  
,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,i will  
make this proverb to cease1 and they    

shall no more use it          as a      
proverb in ,israel2 but tell them1 ,the 
days are at hand1          and the      
fulfillment of every vision4  #jab3jbd  
,for there shall be no more any false   
vision nor flattering                   
divination within the house of ,israel4 
#jab3jbe ,for ,i am ,yahweh2 ,i will    
speak1 and the word that ,i shall       
speak shall be performed2 it shall be no
 more deferred3          for in your    
days1 rebellious house1 will ,i speak   
the word1          and will perform it1

 the word of ,yahweh came to me1 saying1

the house of ,israel say1 ,the vision   
that he sees is for many day to come1   
and he prophesies          of times that
 are far off4  #jab3jbh ,therefore tell 
them1 ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3     
,there shall          none of my words  
be deferred any more1 but the word which
 ,i          shall speak shall be       
performed1 says the ,lord ,yahweh4

prophesy against the prophets of ,israel
 who prophesy1          and say you to  
those who prophesy out of their own     
heart1          ,hear you the word of   
,yahweh3  #jac3jjc ,thus says the ,lord 
,yahweh1 ,woe to the foolish prophets1  
who follow their own spirit1 and have   
seen nothing6  #jac3jjd ,israel1 your   
prophets have been like foxes in the    
waste places4  #jac3jje ,you have not   
gone up into the gaps1 neither built up 
the wall for the house of ,israel1 to   
stand in the battle          in the day 
of ,yahweh4  #jac3jjf ,they have seen   
falsehood and lying divination1 who say1
          ,yahweh says2 but ,yahweh has 
not sent them3  and they have made      
men to hope that the word would be      
confirmed4  #jac3jjg ,haven't you seen a
 false vision1 and haven't you spoken   
a lying divination1 in that you say1    
,yahweh says2 but ,i          have not  
spoken8  #jac3jjh ,therefore thus says  

the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,because you have   
spoken          falsehood1 and seen     
lies1 therefore1 behold1 ,i am against  
you1          says the ,lord ,yahweh4   
#jac3jji ,my hand shall be against the  
prophets who see false visions1         
and who divine lies3  they shall not be 
in the council of my people1            
neither shall they be written in the    
writing of the house          of        
,israel1 neither shall they enter into  
the land of ,israel2          and you   
shall know that ,i am the ,lord ,yahweh4

have seduced my people1 saying1 ,peace2 
and there is no peace2 and when one     
builds up a wall1 behold1          they 
daub it with whitewash3  #jac3jaa tell  
those who daub it with whitewash1 that  
it shall fall3          there shall be  
an overflowing shower2 and you1 great   
hailstones1          shall fall2 and a  
stormy wind shall tear it4  #jac3jab    
,behold1 when the wall is fallen1 shall 
it not be said to you1          ,where  

is the daubing with which you have      
daubed it8  #jac3jac ,therefore thus    
says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,i will even   
tear it with          a stormy wind in  
my wrath2 and there shall be an         
overflowing          shower in my anger1
 and great hailstones in wrath to       
consume it4  #jac3jad ,so will ,i break 
down the wall that you have daubed with 
whitewash1          and bring it down to
 the ground1 so that the foundation of  
it          shall be uncovered2 and it  
shall fall1 and you shall be consumed   
in the midst of it3  and you shall know 
that ,i am ,yahweh4  #jac3jae ,thus will
 ,i accomplish my wrath on the wall1 and
 on those          who have daubed it   
with whitewash2 and ,i will tell you1   
,the wall is no more1 neither those who 
daubed it2  #jac3jaf to wit1 the        
prophets of ,israel who prophesy        
concerning ,jerusalem1          and who 
see visions of peace for her1 and there 
is no peace1          says the ,lord    
,yahweh4  #jac3jag ,you1 son of man1 set

 your face against the daughters        
of your people1 who prophesy out of     
their own heart2          and prophesy  
you against them1  #jac3jah and say1    
,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,woe to  
the women who sew          pillows on   
all elbows1 and make kerchiefs for the  
head          of persons of every       
stature to hunt souls6  ,will you hunt  
the souls of my people1 and save souls  
alive for yourselves8  #jac3jai ,you    
have profaned me among my people for    
handfuls of barley          and for     
pieces of bread1 to kill the souls who  
should not die1          and to save the
 souls alive who should not live1 by    
your lying          to my people who    
listen to lies4  #jac3jbj ,therefore    
thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,behold1  
,i am          against your pillows1    
with which you there hunt the souls     
to make them fly1 and ,i will tear them 
from your arms2          and ,i will let
 the souls go1 even the souls who you   
hunt          to make them fly4         

#jac3jba ,your kerchiefs also will ,i   
tear1 and deliver my people out of      
your hand1 and they shall be no more in 
your hand to be hunted2          and you
 shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4         
#jac3jbb ,because with lies you have    
grieved the heart of the righteous1     
whom ,i have not made sad2 and          
strengthened the hands of          the  
wicked1 that he should not return from  
his wicked way1          and be saved   
alive3  #jac3jbc ,therefore you shall no
 more see false visions1 nor            
practice divination4  ,i will deliver my
 people out of your hand2          and  
you shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4

elders of ,israel to me1 and sat before 
me4  #jad3jjb ,the word of ,yahweh came 
to me1 saying1  #jad3jjc ,son of man1   
these men have taken their idols into   
their heart1          and put the       
stumbling block of their iniquity before
 their face3          should ,i be      
inquired of at all by them8  #jad3jjd   

,therefore speak to them1 and tell them1
 ,thus says the          ,lord ,yahweh3 
,every man of the house of ,israel who  
takes          his idols into his heart1
 and puts the stumbling block

,yahweh will answer him therein         
according to the multitude          of

have          deceived that prophet1 and
 ,i will stretch out my hand on him1    
and will destroy him from the midst of

the prophet          shall be even as   
the iniquity of him who seeks to him2

go no more astray from me1              
neither defile themselves any more with 
all their transgressions2          but  
that they may be my people1 and ,i may

his trespass that he has trespassed1 and
 in his sin          that he has sinned1

,when the righteous man turns away from

iniquity          that he has done shall

wicked man turns away from his          
wickedness          that he has         
committed1 and does that which is lawful
 and right1          he shall save his

 he was taken in their pit2          and
 they brought him with hooks to the land
 of ,egypt4  #jai3jje ,now when she saw 
that she had waited1 and her hope was   
lost1          then she took another of 
her cubs1 and made him a young lion4    
#jai3jjf ,he went up and down among the 
lions2 he became a young lion1          

and he learned to catch the prey2 he    
devoured men4  #jai3jjg ,he knew their  
palaces1 and laid waste their cities2   
and the land          was desolate1 and 
the fullness of it1 because of the noise
          of his roaring4  #jai3jjh     
,then the nations set against him on    
every side from the provinces2          
and they spread their net over him2 he  
was taken in their pit4  #jai3jji ,they 
put him in a cage with hooks1 and       
brought him to the king          of     
,babylon2 they brought him into         
strongholds1 that his voice             
should no more be heard on the mountains
 of ,israel4  #jai3jaj ,your mother was 
like a vine1 in your blood1 planted by  
the waters3          it was fruitful and
 full of branches by reason of many     
waters4  #jai3jaa ,it had strong rods   
for the scepters of those who bore rule1
          and their stature was exalted 
among the thick boughs1          and    
they were seen in their height with the 
multitude          of their branches4   

#jai3jab ,but it was plucked up in fury1
 it was cast down to the ground1        
and the east wind dried up its fruit3   
its strong rods were          broken off
 and withered2 the fire consumed them4

wilderness1 in a dry and thirsty land4

of its branches1 it has devoured

and brought them into the wilderness4

shown them my ordinances1          which

 me and them1 that they might know that

ordinances1          which if a man     

keep1 he shall live in them2 and my

profaned4  ,then ,i said ,i would pour  
out my wrath          on them in the

,but ,i worked for my name's sake1 that 
it should not be profaned          in   
the sight of the nations1 in whose sight

,moreover also ,i swore to them in the

would pour out my wrath on them1 to     
accomplish          my anger against

,nevertheless ,i withdrew my hand1 and  
worked for my name's sake1          that
 it should not be profaned in the sight 
of the nations1          in whose sight

,moreover ,i swore to them in the

them among the nations1 and disperse    

them through the countries2  #jbj3jbd   
because they had not executed my        
ordinances1 but had rejected          my
 statutes1 and had profaned my          
,sabbaths1 and their eyes          were 
after their fathers' idols4  #jbj3jbe   
,moreover also ,i gave them statutes    
that were not good1          and        
ordinances in which they should not     
live2  #jbj3jbf and ,i polluted them in 
their own gifts1 in that they caused    
to pass through the fire all that opens 
the womb1 that ,i          might make   
them desolate1 to the end that they     
might know          that ,i am ,yahweh4 
#jbj3jbg ,therefore1 son of man1 speak  
to the house of ,israel1          and   
tell them1 ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3
  ,in this moreover          have your  
fathers blasphemed me1 in that they have
 committed          a trespass against

them into the land1 which ,i swore      
to give to them1 then they saw every    
high hill1 and every          thick     

tree1 and they offered there their      
sacrifices1          and there they     
presented the provocation of their      
offering2          there also they made 
their sweet savor1 and they poured out

,then ,i said to them1 ,what means the  
high place whereunto you go8            
,so the name of it is called ,bamah to  
this day4  #jbj3jcj ,therefore tell the 
house of ,israel1 ,thus says the ,lord  
,yahweh3  ,do you          pollute      
yourselves after the manner of your     
fathers8 and play          you the      
prostitute after their abominations8

when you make your sons          to pass
 through the fire1 do you pollute       
yourselves with all          your idols 
to this day8 and shall ,i be inquired of
 by you1          house of ,israel8  ,as

will          not be inquired of by you2

nations1 as the families          of the
 countries1 to serve wood and stone4

but my holy name shall you no more

holy mountain1 in the mountain of the

you shall          loathe yourselves in 
your own sight for all your evils

name's sake1 not according to your evil

against you1 and will draw forth my     
sword out of its sheath1          and   
will cut off from you the righteous and

,i will cut off from you the righteous  
and          the wicked1 therefore shall
 my sword go forth out of its sheath    
against all flesh from the south to the

breaking of your thighs          and

that it may make a slaughter2 it is     
furbished          that it may be as    
lightning3  shall we then make mirth8   
the rod of my son1 it condemns every    
tree4  #jba3jaa ,it is given to be      
furbished1 that it may be handled3      
the sword1 it is sharpened1 yes1 it is  
furbished1 to give it          into the 
hand of the killer4  #jba3jab ,cry and  
wail1 son of man2 for it is on my       
people1 it is on all          the       
princes of ,israel3  they are delivered 
over to the sword          with my      
people2 strike therefore on your thigh4

threatening sword against all their

lightning1 it is pointed for slaughter4

,for the king of ,babylon stood at the  
parting of the way1          at the head
 of the two ways1 to use divination3

right hand was the divination for       
,jerusalem1          to set battering   
rams1 to open the mouth in the          
slaughter1          to lift up the voice

them as a false divination in their     
sight1          who have sworn oaths to

wicked one1 the prince of ,israel1      
whose day is come1 in the time of the

 the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,remove the turban1
 and take off the crown2          this  
shall be no more the same2 exalt that   
which is low1          and abase that   
which is high4  #jba3jbg ,i will

also shall be no more1          until he
 come whose right it is2 and ,i will

sword1 a sword is drawn1 for the

cause it to devour1 that it may be as

you false visions1 while they divine    
lies to you1          to lay you on the 
necks of the wicked who are deadly      
wounded1          whose day is come in  
the time of the iniquity of the end4

sheath4  ,in the place where you        
were created1 in the land of your birth1
 will ,i judge you4  #jba3jca ,i will   
pour out my indignation on you2 ,i will 
blow on you          with the fire of my
 wrath2 and ,i will deliver you into the
 hand          of brutish men1 skillful 
to destroy4  #jba3jcb ,you shall be for 
fuel to the fire2 your blood shall be in
          the midst of the land2 you    
shall be no more remembered3            
for ,i1 ,yahweh1 have spoken it4        
#jbb3jja ,moreover the word of ,yahweh

of man1 will you judge1 will you judge  
the bloody          city8 then cause her
 to know all her abominations4  #jbb3jjc
 ,you shall say1 ,thus says the ,lord   
,yahweh3  ,a city that          sheds   
blood in the midst of her1 that her time
 may come1          and that makes idols
 against herself to defile her6         
#jbb3jjd ,you have become guilty in your
 blood that you have shed1          and 

are defiled in your idols which you have
 made2 and you have          caused your
 days to draw near1 and are come even to
 your years3          therefore have ,i 
made you a reproach to the nations1     
and a mocking to all the countries4

who are far from you1 shall mock you1   
you infamous one and full of tumult4    
#jbb3jjf ,behold1 the princes of        
,israel1 everyone according to his      
power1          have been in you to shed

light by father and mother2 in the midst
          of you have they dealt by     
oppression with the foreigner2          
in you have they wronged the fatherless 
and the widow4  #jbb3jjh ,you have      
despised my holy things1 and have

,slanderous men have been in you to shed
 blood2 and in you          they have   
eaten on the mountains3  in the midst of
 you they          have committed       
lewdness4  #jbb3jaj ,in you have they   

uncovered their fathers' nakedness2 in  
you          have they humbled her who  
was unclean in her impurity4  #jbb3jaa  
,one has committed abomination with his 
neighbor's wife2          and another   
has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law2 
and another          in you has humbled 
his sister1 his father's daughter4      
#jbb3jab ,in you have they taken bribes 
to shed blood2 you have taken           
interest and increase1 and you have     
greedily gained          of your        
neighbors by oppression1 and have       
forgotten me1          says the ,lord

,i have struck my hand at your dishonest
          gain which you have made1 and 
at your blood which has been          in

heart endure1 or can your hands be

spoken it1          and will do it4

all of them are brass and tin and iron  
and lead1 in the midst          of the  
furnace2 they are the dross of silver4

,yahweh3  ,because you are all          
become dross1 therefore1 behold1 ,i will
 gather you into          the midst of

silver and brass and iron and lead and  
tin          into the midst of the      
furnace1 to blow the fire on it1        
to melt it2 so will ,i gather you in my 
anger and in my wrath1          and ,i  
will lay you there1 and melt you4

blow on you with the fire of my wrath1  
and you shall be melted in the midst of

you be melted in the midst of it2 and

tell her1 ,you are a land that is not   
cleansed1          nor rained on in the

treasure and precious things2 they have 
made her          widows many in the

have made no distinction between the    
holy          and the common1 neither   
have they caused men to discern         
between the unclean and the clean1 and  
have hid their eyes          from my

midst of it are like wolves ravening    
the prey1 to shed blood1 and to destroy 
souls1 that they          may get

seeing          false visions1 and

people of the land have used oppression1

they have vexed the poor and needy1 and 
have oppressed          the foreigner

man among them1 who should build up the 
wall1          and stand in the gap     
before me for the land1 that ,i should  
not destroy it2 but ,i found none4

my indignation on them2          ,i have

wrath3  their own          way have ,i  
brought on their heads1 says the ,lord

they played the prostitute in ,egypt2

pressed1          and there was handled

and they became mine1 and they bore sons

company did fall          in the midst

of the islands are astonished at you1   
and their kings are horribly afraid2

and there shall be no more a prince from

and will execute judgments on ,no4

,sin shall be in great anguish1         
and ,no shall be broken up2 and ,memphis
 shall have adversaries          in the

been bound up1 to apply healing         
medicines1          to put a bandage to 
bind it1 that it be strong to hold the

against ,pharaoh          king of       
,egypt1 and will break his arms1 the    
strong arm1          and that which was 
broken2 and ,i will cause the sword to

the nations1 and will disperse

with beautiful          branches1 and   
with a forest-like shade1 and of high   
stature2          and its top was among

nourished it1 the deep made it to grow3 
the rivers of it ran round about its    
plantation2 and it sent          out its
 channels to all the trees of the field4

exalted above all the trees of the      
field2          and its boughs were     
multiplied1 and its branches became long
          by reason of many waters1 when

birds of the sky made their nests in its
 boughs2          and under its branches
 did all the animals of the field bring 
forth their young2 and under its shadow

 was it beautiful in its greatness1 in  
the length of its branches2          for

,the cedars in the garden of ,god could 
not hide it2 the fir          trees were
 not like its boughs1 and the plane     
trees were          not as its branches2
 nor was any tree in the garden of ,god

 it beautiful by the multitude of its   
branches1          so that all the trees
 of ,eden1 that were in the garden

you are exalted          in stature1 and
 he has set his top among the thick     
boughs1          and his heart is lifted

even deliver him into the hand of the   
mighty one of          the nations2 he  
shall surely deal with him2 ,i have     
driven          him out for his

terrible of the nations1 have cut him   
off1          and have left him3  on the
 mountains and in all the valleys       
his branches are fallen1 and his boughs 
are broken by all          the          
watercourses of the land2 and all the   
peoples of the earth          are gone  
down from his shadow1 and have left him4

descend into the pit2          and all

of ,lebanon1          all that drink    

water1 were comforted in the lower parts

also went down into ,sheol with him to  
those who are slain          by the     
sword2 yes1 those who were his arm1 that
 lived          under his shadow in the 
midst of the nations4  #jca3jah ,to whom
 are you thus like in glory and in      
greatness among the trees          of   
,eden8 yet shall you be brought down    
with the trees of ,eden          to the 
lower parts of the earth3  you shall lie
 in the midst          of the           
uncircumcised1 with those who are slain 
by the sword4          ,this is ,pharaoh
 and all his multitude1 says the ,lord

twelfth year1 in the twelfth month1     
in the first day of the month1 that the

 likened to a young lion of the nations3
          yet are you as a monster in   

the seas2 and you did break forth       
with your rivers1 and troubled the      
waters with your feet1          and

says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,i will spread 
out my net on you          with a       
company of many peoples2 and they shall 
bring you up          in my net4

birds of the sky to settle on you1      
and ,i will satisfy the animals of the

lay your flesh on the mountains1 and    
fill the valleys          with your

with your blood the land in which you   
swim1          even to the mountains2   
and the watercourses shall be full of

 you1 ,i will cover the heavens1 and    
make          the stars of it dark2 ,i  
will cover the sun with a cloud1        
and the moon shall not give its light4

and set darkness on your land1 says the

vex the hearts of many peoples1 when ,i 
shall          bring your destruction   
among the nations1 into the countries

,yes1 ,i will make many peoples amazed  
at you1 and their kings          shall  
be horribly afraid for you1 when ,i     
shall brandish my          sword before 
them2 and they shall tremble at every   
moment1          every man for his own

swords of the mighty will ,i cause your 
multitude to fall2          the terrible

from beside many waters2                
neither shall the foot of man trouble   
them any more1          nor the hoofs of

will ,i make their waters clear1 and    
cause their rivers          to run like

,when ,i shall make the land of ,egypt  
desolate and waste1          a land     
destitute of that of which it was full1 
when ,i shall          strike all those 
who dwell therein1 then shall they know

the lamentation with which they shall   
lament2          the daughters of the   
nations shall lament therewith2 over    
,egypt1          and over all her       
multitude1 shall they lament therewith1

the fifteenth day          of the month1

daughters of the famous nations1 to the 
lower          parts of the earth1 with 
those who go down into the pit4

,go down1 and be laid          with the

fall in the midst of those who are slain
 by the sword3          she is delivered
 to the sword2 draw her away and all her
 multitudes4  #jcb3jba ,the strong among
 the mighty shall speak to him out of   
the midst          of ,sheol with those 
who help him3  they are gone down1      
they lie still1 even the uncircumcised1 
slain by the sword4  #jcb3jbb ,asshur is
 there and all her company2 her graves  
are round about her2          all of    
them slain1 fallen by the sword2

uttermost parts of the pit1          and
 her company is round about her grave2

for they caused their terror in the land

the pit4  #jcb3jcj ,there are the       
princes of the north1 all of them1 and  
all          the ,sidonians1 who are    
gone down with the slain2 in the terror 
which they caused by their might they   
are put to shame2          and they lie 
uncircumcised with those who are slain  
by the sword1          and bear their   
shame with those who go down to the pit4
  #jcb3jca ,pharaoh shall see them1 and 

shall be comforted over all          his
 multitude1 even ,pharaoh and all his   
army1 slain by the sword1          says 
the ,lord ,yahweh4  #jcb3jcb ,for ,i    
have put his terror in the land of the  
living2          and he shall be laid in
 the midst of the uncircumcised1        
with those who are slain by the sword1  
even ,pharaoh and all          his      
multitude1 says the ,lord ,yahweh4      
#jcc3jja ,the word of ,yahweh came to   
me1 saying1  #jcc3jjb ,son of man1 speak
 to the children of your people1 and    
tell them1          ,when ,i bring the  
sword on a land1 and the people of the  
land          take a man from among     
them1 and set him for their watchman2   
#jcc3jjc if1 when he sees the sword come
 on the land1 he blow the trumpet1      
and warn the people2  #jcc3jjd then     
whoever hears the sound of the trumpet1 
and doesn't          take warning1 if   
the sword come1 and take him away1 his  
blood          shall be on his own head4
  #jcc3jje ,he heard the sound of the   

trumpet1 and didn't take warning2       
his blood shall be on him2 whereas if he
 had taken warning1          he would   
have delivered his soul4  #jcc3jjf ,but 
if the watchman sees the sword come1 and
 doesn't blow the trumpet1          and 
the people aren't warned1 and the sword 
comes1 and take          any person from
 among them2 he is taken away in his    
iniquity1          but his blood will ,i
 require at the watchman's hand4        
#jcc3jjg ,so you1 son of man1 ,i have   
set you a watchman to the house         
of ,israel2 therefore hear the word at  
my mouth1 and give them          warning
 from me4  #jcc3jjh ,when ,i tell the   
wicked1 ,o wicked man1 you shall surely 
die1          and you don't speak to    
warn the wicked from his way2           
that wicked man shall die in his        
iniquity1 but his blood          will ,i
 require at your hand4  #jcc3jji        
,nevertheless1 if you warn the wicked of
 his way to turn from it1          and  
he doesn't turn from his way2 he shall  

die in his iniquity1          but you   
have delivered your soul4  #jcc3jaj     
,you1 son of man1 tell the house of     
,israel3  ,thus you speak1              
saying1 ,our transgressions and our sins
 are on us1 and we          pine away in
 them2 how then can we live8  #jcc3jaa  
,tell them1 ,as ,i live1 says the ,lord 
,yahweh1 ,i have no pleasure          in
 the death of the wicked2 but that the  
wicked turn from          his way and   
live3  turn you1 turn you from your evil
 ways2          for why will you die1

 man1 tell the children of your people1 
,the righteousness of the righteous     
shall not deliver him in the day        
of his disobedience2 and as for the     
wickedness of the wicked1          he   
shall not fall thereby in the day that  
he turns from          his wickedness2  
neither shall he who is righteous be    
able          to live thereby in the day

the righteous1 that he shall surely     

live2          if he trust to his       
righteousness1 and commit iniquity1     
none of his righteous deeds shall be    
remembered2 but in his          iniquity
 that he has committed1 therein shall he

the wicked1 ,you shall surely die2      
if he turn from his sin1 and do that    
which is lawful and right2  #jcc3jae if 
the wicked restore the pledge1 give     
again that which he had taken           
by robbery1 walk in the statutes of     
life1 committing no iniquity2           
he shall surely live1 he shall not die4 
#jcc3jaf ,none of his sins that he has  
committed shall be remembered           
against him3  he has done that which is 
lawful and right2          he shall     
surely live4  #jcc3jag ,yet the children
 of your people say1 ,the way of the    
,lord          is not equal3  but as for
 them1 their way is not equal4  #jcc3jah
 ,when the righteous turns from his     
righteousness1 and commits iniquity1    
he shall even die therein4  #jcc3jai    

,when the wicked turns from his         
wickedness1 and does that which         
is lawful and right1 he shall live      
thereby4  #jcc3jbj ,yet you say1 ,the   
way of the ,lord is not equal4          
,house of ,israel1 ,i will judge you    
everyone after his ways4  #jcc3jba ,it  
happened in the twelfth year of our     
captivity1 in the          tenth month1 
in the fifth day of the month1 that one 
who had escaped out of ,jerusalem came  
to me1 saying1 ,the city          has

,yahweh had been on me in the evening1  
before he who was escaped came2 and he  
had opened my mouth1          until he  
came to me in the morning2 and my mouth

man1 they who inhabit those waste places

saying1 ,abraham was one1 and he        
inherited the land3          but we are 
many2 the land is given us for

them1 ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3     
,you eat with          the blood1 and   
lift up your eyes to your idols1 and    
shed blood3          and shall you      
possess the land8  #jcc3jbf ,you stand  
on your sword1 you work abomination1 and
 you defile          everyone his       
neighbor's wife3  and shall you possess 
the land8  #jcc3jbg ,thus shall you tell
 them1 ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3    
,as ,i live1          surely those who  
are in the waste places shall fall by   
the sword2          and him who is in   
the open field will ,i give to the      
animals          to be devoured2 and    
those who are in the strongholds and in 
the caves shall die of the pestilence4

and the pride of her power shall cease2 
and the mountains          of ,israel

an astonishment1 because of all         
their abominations which they have

 man1 the children of your people talk  
of you by the walls and in the doors of 
the houses1 and speak          one to   
another1 everyone to his brother1       
saying1 ,please come          and hear  
what is the word that comes forth from  
,yahweh4  #jcc3jca ,they come to you as 
the people comes1 and they sit before   
you          as my people1 and they hear
 your words1 but don't do them2         
for with their mouth they show much     
love1 but their heart          goes     
after their gain4  #jcc3jcb ,behold1 you
 are to them as a very lovely song of   
one who has          a pleasant voice1  
and can play well on an instrument2     
for they hear your words1 but they don't
 do them4  #jcc3jcc ,when this comes to 
pass1 7behold1 it comes71 then shall    
they          know that a prophet has   
been among them4  #jcd3jja ,the word of 

,yahweh came to me1 saying1  #jcd3jjb   
,son of man1 prophesy against the       
shepherds of ,israel1          prophesy1
 and tell them1 even to the shepherds1  
,thus says the          ,lord ,yahweh3  
,woe to the shepherds of ,israel who    
feed themselves6          ,shouldn't the
 shepherds feed the sheep8  #jcd3jjc    
,you eat the fat1 and you clothe you    
with the wool1 you kill          the    
fatlings2 but you don't feed the sheep4 
#jcd3jjd ,you haven't strengthened the  
diseased1 neither have you healed       
that which was sick1 neither have you   
bound up that which          was broken1
 neither have you brought back that     
which was          driven away1 neither 
have you sought that which was lost2    
but with force and with rigor have you  
ruled over them4  #jcd3jje ,they were   
scattered1 because there was no         
shepherd2          and they became food 
to all the animals of the field1        
and were scattered4  #jcd3jjf ,my sheep 
wandered through all the mountains1 and 

on every high hill3          yes1 my    
sheep were scattered on all the surface 
of the earth2          and there was    
none who searched or sought4  #jcd3jjg  
,therefore1 you shepherds1 hear the word
 of ,yahweh3  #jcd3jjh ,as ,i live1 says
 the ,lord ,yahweh1 surely because my   
sheep became          a prey1 and my    
sheep became food to all the animals of 
the field1          because there was no
 shepherd1 neither did my shepherds     
search for my sheep1 but the shepherds  
fed themselves1          and didn't feed
 my sheep2  #jcd3jji therefore1 you     
shepherds1 hear the word of ,yahweh3

,behold1 ,i am against the shepherds2   
and ,i will require my sheep at their   
hand1 and cause them          to cease  
from feeding the sheep2 neither shall   
the shepherds          feed themselves  
any more2 and ,i will deliver my sheep  
from          their mouth1 that they may

thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,behold1  

,i myself1 even ,i1          will search
 for my sheep1 and will seek them out4

flock in the day that he is among       
his sheep that are scattered abroad1 so 
will ,i seek out my sheep2          and 
,i will deliver them out of all places  
where they have been          scattered

 will bring them out from the peoples1  
and gather them from          the       
countries1 and will bring them into     
their own land2 and ,i          will    
feed them on the mountains of ,israel1  
by the watercourses1          and in all
 the inhabited places of the country4

pasture2 and on the mountains           
of the height of ,israel shall their    
fold be3  there shall          they lie 
down in a good fold2 and on fat pasture 
shall they          feed on the         
mountains of ,israel4  #jcd3jae ,i      
myself will be the shepherd of my sheep1
 and ,i will cause          them to lie 

down1 says the ,lord ,yahweh4  #jcd3jaf 
,i will seek that which was lost1 and   
will bring back          that which was 
driven away1 and will bind up that which
          was broken1 and will          
strengthen that which was sick3         
but the fat and the strong ,i will      
destroy2 ,i will feed          them in  
justice4  #jcd3jag ,as for you1 ,o my   
flock1 thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3     
,behold1 ,i judge          between sheep
 and sheep1 the rams and the male goats4
  #jcd3jah ,seems it a small thing to   
you to have fed on the good pasture1    
but you must tread down with your feet  
the residue of your          pasture8   
and to have drunk of the clear waters1  
but you must          foul the residue  
with your feet8  #jcd3jai ,as for my    
sheep1 they eat that which you have     
trodden with your feet1          and    
they drink that which you have fouled   
with your feet4  #jcd3jbj ,therefore    
thus says the ,lord ,yahweh to them3    
,behold1 ,i1 even ,i1          will     

judge between the fat sheep and the lean
 sheep4  #jcd3jba ,because you thrust   
with side and with shoulder1 and push   
all          the diseased with your     
horns1 until you have scattered them    
abroad2  #jcd3jbb therefore will ,i save
 my flock1 and they shall no more be a  
prey2          and ,i will judge between
 sheep and sheep4  #jcd3jbc ,i will set 
up one shepherd over them1 and he shall 
feed them1          even my servant     
,david2 he shall feed them1 and he shall
          be their shepherd4  #jcd3jbd  
,i1 ,yahweh1 will be their ,god1 and my 
servant ,david prince          among    
them2 ,i1 ,yahweh1 have spoken it4      
#jcd3jbe ,i will make with them a       
covenant of peace1 and will cause       
evil animals to cease out of the land2  
and they shall dwell          securely  
in the wilderness1 and sleep in the

the places round about my hill a        
blessing2          and ,i will cause the
 shower to come down in its season2     

there shall be showers of blessing4

yield its fruit1 and the earth shall

secure in their land2          and they

have broken          the bars of their  
yoke1 and have delivered them out of the
 hand          of those who made slaves

be a prey to the nations1 neither shall 
the animals of the earth devour them2   
but they shall dwell securely1          
and none shall make them afraid4

plantation for renown1 and they shall   
be no more consumed with famine in the  
land1 neither bear          the shame of

against ,mount ,seir1 and prophesy

 against you1          ,mount ,seir1 and

you1          and ,i will make you a    
desolation and an astonishment4

perpetual enmity1 and have given over

you have shown          out of your     
hatred against them2 and ,i will make

your insults          which you have    
spoken against the mountains of ,israel1

 saying1          ,they are laid        
desolate1 they are given us to devour4

 have multiplied your words against me3

earth rejoices1          ,i will make

rejoice over the inheritance of the     
house          of ,israel1 because it   
was desolate1 so will ,i do to you3     
you shall be desolate1 ,mount ,seir1 and
 all ,edom1 even all of it2          and
 they shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4

,the ancient high places are ours in

because they have made you desolate1 and
 swallowed you up          on every     
side1 that you might be a possession to 
the residue          of the nations1 and
 you are taken up in the lips of        
talkers1          and the evil report of

mountains of ,israel1 hear the word of  
the          ,lord ,yahweh3  ,thus says 
the ,lord ,yahweh to the mountains      
and to the hills1 to the watercourses   
and to the valleys1          to the     
desolate wastes and to the cities that  
are forsaken1          which are become 
a prey and derision to the residue of   
the nations          that are round     
about2  #jcf3jje therefore thus says the
 ,lord ,yahweh3  ,surely in the fire of 
my          jealousy have ,i spoken     
against the residue of the nations1     
and against all ,edom1 that have        
appointed my land to themselves         
for a possession with the joy of all    
their heart1 with despite          of   
soul1 to cast it out for a prey4

the land of ,israel1 and tell           
the mountains and to the hills1 to the  
watercourses and to          the        
valleys1 ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  
,behold1 ,i have spoken          in my  
jealousy and in my wrath1 because you   
have borne          the shame of the    
nations3  #jcf3jjg therefore thus says  
the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,i have sworn1      
saying1          ,surely the nations    
that are round about you1 they shall    
bear their shame4  #jcf3jjh ,but you1   
mountains of ,israel1 you shall shoot   
forth your branches1          and yield 
your fruit to my people ,israel2 for    
they are at          hand to come4      
#jcf3jji ,for1 behold1 ,i am for you1   
and ,i will turn into you1 and you      
shall be tilled and sown2  #jcf3jaj and 
,i will multiply men on you1 all the    
house of ,israel1          even all of  
it2 and the cities shall be inhabited1  
and the waste          places shall be  
built2  #jcf3jaa and ,i will multiply on

 you man and animal2 and they shall     
increase          and be fruitful2 and  
,i will cause you to be inhabited after 
your          former estate1 and will do
 better to you than at your beginnings3 
and you shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4

 on you1 even my people ,israel2        
and they shall possess you1 and you     
shall be their inheritance1          and
 you shall no more henceforth bereave

 you1          ,you land are a devourer 
of men1 and have been a bereaver        
of your nation2  #jcf3jad therefore you 
shall devour men no more1 neither       
bereave your          nation any more1

neither will ,i let you hear any more   
the shame of the nations1               
neither shall you bear the reproach of  
the peoples any more1          neither  
shall you cause your nation to stumble  
any more1          says the ,lord       

,yahweh4  #jcf3jaf ,moreover the word of
 ,yahweh came to me1 saying1  #jcf3jag  
,son of man1 when the house of ,israel  
lived in their own land1          they  
defiled it by their way and by their    
doings3          their way before me was
 as the uncleanness of a woman          
in her impurity4  #jcf3jah ,therefore ,i
 poured out my wrath on them for the    
blood which they          had poured out
 on the land1 and because they had      
defiled it          with their idols2   
#jcf3jai and ,i scattered them among the
 nations1 and they were dispersed       
through the countries3  according to    
their way and according          to     
their doings ,i judged them4  #jcf3jbj  
,when they came to the nations1 where   
they went1 they profaned          my    
holy name2 in that men said of them1    
,these are the people          of       
,yahweh1 and are gone forth out of his  
land4  #jcf3jba ,but ,i had regard for  
my holy name1 which the house of ,israel
          had profaned among the        

nations1 where they went4  #jcf3jbb     
,therefore tell the house of ,israel1   
,thus says the          ,lord ,yahweh3  
,i don't do this for your sake1 house of
 ,israel1          but for my holy name1
 which you have profaned among the      
nations1          where you went4       
#jcf3jbc ,i will sanctify my great name1
 which has been profaned among          
the nations1 which you have profaned in 
the midst of them2          and the     
nations shall know that ,i am ,yahweh1  
says the ,lord ,yahweh1          when ,i
 shall be sanctified in you before their
 eyes4  #jcf3jbd ,for ,i will take you  
from among the nations1 and gather you  
out          of all the countries1 and  
will bring you into your own land4      
#jcf3jbe ,i will sprinkle clean water on
 you1 and you shall be clean3           
from all your filthiness1 and from all  
your idols1          will ,i cleanse    
you4  #jcf3jbf ,a new heart also will ,i
 give you1 and a new spirit will ,i put 
within you2 and ,i will take away the   

stony heart out of your flesh1          
and ,i will give you a heart of flesh4  
#jcf3jbg ,i will put my ,spirit within  
you1 and cause you to walk in           
my statutes1 and you shall keep my      
ordinances1 and do them4  #jcf3jbh ,you 
shall dwell in the land that ,i gave to 
your fathers2          and you shall be 
my people1 and ,i will be your ,god4    
#jcf3jbi ,i will save you from all your 
uncleanness3  and ,i will call          
for the grain1 and will multiply it1 and
 lay no famine on you4  #jcf3jcj ,i will
 multiply the fruit of the tree1 and the
 increase          of the field1 that   
you may receive no more the reproach    
of famine among the nations4  #jcf3jca  
,then shall you remember your evil ways1
 and your doings that          were not 
good2 and you shall loathe yourselves in
 your own          sight for your       
iniquities and for your abominations4   
#jcf3jcb ,nor for your sake do ,i this1 
says the ,lord ,yahweh1 be it           
known to you3  be ashamed and confounded

 for your ways1          house of       
,israel4  #jcf3jcc ,thus says the ,lord 
,yahweh3  ,in the day that ,i cleanse   
you from          all your iniquities1  
,i will cause the cities to be          
inhabited1          and the waste places
 shall be built4  #jcf3jcd ,the land    
that was desolate shall be tilled1      
whereas it was          a desolation in 
the sight of all who passed by4         
#jcf3jce ,they shall say1 ,this land    
that was desolate is become like        
the garden of ,eden2 and the waste and  
desolate and ruined          cities are 
fortified and inhabited4  #jcf3jcf ,then
 the nations that are left round about  
you shall know          that ,i1        
,yahweh1 have built the ruined places1  
and planted          that which was     
desolate3  ,i1 ,yahweh1 have spoken it1 
and ,i          will do it4  #jcf3jcg   
,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,for     
this1 moreover1 will ,i          be     
inquired of by the house of ,israel1 to 
do it for them3          ,i will        

increase them with men like a flock4    
#jcf3jch ,as the flock for sacrifice1 as
 the flock of ,jerusalem in her         
appointed feasts1 so shall the waste    
cities be filled with          flocks of
 men2 and they shall know that ,i am    
,yahweh4  #jcg3jja ,the hand of ,yahweh 
was on me1 and he brought me out in the 
,spirit          of ,yahweh1 and set me 
down in the midst of the valley2        
and it was full of bones4  #jcg3jjb ,he 
caused me to pass by them round about3  
and behold1          there were very    
many in the open valley2 and behold1    
they were very dry4  #jcg3jjc ,he said  
to me1 ,son of man1 can these bones     
live8  ,i answered1          ,lord      
,yahweh1 you know4  #jcg3jjd ,again he  
said to me1 ,prophesy over these bones1 
and tell them1          you dry bones1  
hear the word of ,yahweh4  #jcg3jje     
,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh to these   
bones3  ,behold1 ,i will cause          
breath to enter into you1 and you shall 
live4  #jcg3jjf ,i will lay sinews on   

you1 and will bring up flesh on you1    
and cover you with skin1 and put breath 
in you1 and you shall live2          and
 you shall know that ,i am ,yahweh4     
#jcg3jjg ,so ,i prophesied as ,i was    
commanded3  and as ,i prophesied1       
there was a noise1 and behold1 an       
earthquake2 and the bones          came 
together1 bone to its bone4  #jcg3jjh ,i
 saw1 and1 behold1 there were sinews on 
them1 and flesh came up1          and   
skin covered them above2 but there was  
no breath in them4  #jcg3jji ,then said 
he to me1 ,prophesy to the wind1        
prophesy1 son of man1          and tell 
the wind1 ,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3 
,come from          the four winds1     
breath1 and breathe on these slain1

prophesied as he commanded me1 and the  
breath came          into them1 and they
 lived1 and stood up on their feet1

bones are the whole          house of   

,israel3  behold1 they say1 ,our bones  
are dried up1          and our hope is  
lost2 we are clean cut off4  #jcg3jab   
,therefore prophesy1 and tell them1     
,thus says the          ,lord ,yahweh3  
,behold1 ,i will open your graves1 and  
cause you          to come up out of

shall be visited3  in the latter years  
you          shall come into the land

that is gathered out of many peoples1 on
 the mountains of ,israel1              
which have been a continual waste2 but  
it is brought          forth out of the 
peoples1 and they shall dwell securely1

ascend1 you shall come like a storm1 you
 shall          be like a cloud to cover
 the land1 you1 and all your hordes1

you shall devise          an evil

will go up to the land of unwalled

all of them dwelling without walls1 and 
having neither          bars nor gates2

against the waste places that are now   
inhabited1          and against the     
people who are gathered out of the      
nations1          who have gotten       
livestock and goods1 who dwell in the

lions of it1 shall tell you1 ,are you   
come to take          the spoil8 have   
you assembled your company to take the  
prey8          to carry away silver and

them          riding on horses1 a great

against my land1 that the nations may

in old          time by my servants the

those days for many years that ,i would

shall come against the land          of

 wrath shall come up          into my

there shall be a great shaking in the

the mountains          shall be thrown

and every wall shall fall to the ground4

lead you on1 and will          cause you

will send a fire on ,magog1 and on those
 who dwell securely          in the     
islands2 and they shall know that ,i am

 make known in the midst of my people   
,israel2          neither will ,i allow 
my holy name to be profaned any more3   
and the nations shall know that ,i am   
,yahweh1 the ,holy ,one in ,israel4

this is the day about which ,i have

the cities of ,israel shall go forth1   
and shall make fires of the weapons and

 the bucklers1 the bows and the arrows1 
and the war clubs1 and the spears1 and  
they shall make fires          of them

shall take no wood out of the field1    
neither cut          down any out of the
 forests2 for they shall make fires of  
the weapons2 and they shall plunder     
those who plundered them1          and  
rob those who robbed them1 says the

happen in that day1 that ,i will give to
 ,gog a place          for burial in    
,israel1 the valley of those who pass   
through on          the east of the sea2
 and it shall stop those who pass       
through3          and there shall they  
bury ,gog and all his multitude2        
and they shall call it ,the valley of

shall the house of ,israel be burying   
them1          that they may cleanse the
 land4  #jci3jac ,yes1 all the people of
 the land shall bury them2 and it shall 
be to them a renown in the day that ,i  

shall be glorified1          says the

 apart men of continual employment1 who 
shall pass          through the land1   
and1 with those who pass through1 those 
who bury          those who remain on   
the surface of the land1 to cleanse it3 
after the end of seven months shall they

through the land shall pass through2    
and when any sees a man's bone1 then    
shall he set up a sign          by it1  
until the undertakers have buried it in 
the valley          of ,hamon ,gog4

mountains of ,israel1 that you may eat  

flesh          and drink blood4

all of them fatlings of ,bashan4

be drunken1 of my sacrifice which ,i

shall be filled at my table with horses 
and chariots1          with mighty men1 
and with all men of war1 says the ,lord

among the nations2 and all the nations  
shall see my judgment that ,i have

have laid on them4  #jci3jbb ,so the    
house of ,israel shall know that ,i am  
,yahweh their ,god1          from that

shall know that the house of ,israel    
went into          captivity for their  
iniquity2 because they trespassed       
against me1          and ,i hid my face 

from them3  so ,i gave them into the    
hand          of their adversaries1 and 
they fell all of them by the sword4

 and according to their                 
transgressions did ,i to them2 and ,i

 ,i will be jealous for my holy name4

which they have trespassed against me1  
when they shall dwell          securely 
in their land1 and none shall make them

them back from the peoples1 and gathered

lands1 and am sanctified in them

the five and twentieth year of our      
captivity1 in the beginning          of

 in the fourteenth          year after  
that the city was struck1 in the same   
day1          the hand of ,yahweh was on
 me1 and he brought me there4  #jdj3jjb 
,in the visions of ,god brought he me   
into the land of ,israel1          and  
set me down on a very high mountain1    
whereon was as it          were the     
frame of a city on the south4  #jdj3jjc 
,he brought me there2 and1 behold1 there
 was a man1          whose appearance   
was like the appearance of brass1       
with a line of flax in his hand1 and a  
measuring reed2          and he stood in
 the gate4  #jdj3jjd ,the man said to   

me1 ,son of man1 see with your eyes1 and
 hear          with your ears1 and set  
your heart on all that ,i shall         
show you2 for1 to the intent that ,i may
 show them to you1          are you     
brought here3  declare all that you see 
to the          house of ,israel4       
#jdj3jje ,behold1 a wall on the outside 
of the house round about1          and  
in the man's hand a measuring reed six  
cubits long1          of a cubit and a  
handbreadth each3  so he measured the   
thickness          of the building1 one 
reed2 and the height1 one reed4         
#jdj3jjf ,then came he to the gate which
 looks toward the east1 and went        
up the steps of it3  and he measured the
 threshold of the gate1          one    
reed broad2 and the other threshold1 one
 reed broad4  #jdj3jjg ,every lodge was 
one reed long1 and one reed broad2      
and the space between the lodges was    
five cubits2          and the threshold 
of the gate by the porch of the gate    
toward          the house was one reed4 

#jdj3jjh ,he measured also the porch of 
the gate toward the house1 one reed4    
#jdj3jji ,then measured he the porch of 
the gate1 eight cubits2          and the
 posts of it1 two cubits2 and the porch 
of the gate          was toward the     
house4  #jdj3jaj ,the lodges of the gate
 eastward were three on this side1      
and three on that side2 they three were 
of one measure3          and the posts  
had one measure on this side and on that
 side4  #jdj3jaa ,he measured the       
breadth of the opening of the gate1 ten 
cubits2          and the length of the  
gate1 thirteen cubits2  #jdj3jab and a  
border before the lodges1 one cubit on  
this side1          and a border1 one   
cubit on that side2 and the lodges1     
six cubits on this side1 and six cubits 
on that side4  #jdj3jac ,he measured the
 gate from the roof of the one lodge to 
the roof of the other1 a breadth of     
twenty-five cubits2          door       
against door4  #jdj3jad ,he made also   
posts1 sixty cubits2 and the court      

reached          to the posts1 round    
about the gate4  #jdj3jae ,from the     
forefront of the gate at the entrance to
 the forefront          of the inner    
porch of the gate were fifty cubits4    
#jdj3jaf ,there were closed windows to  
the lodges1 and to their posts          
within the gate round about1 and        
likewise to the arches2          and    
windows were round about inward2 and on 
each post          were palm trees4     
#jdj3jag ,then brought he me into the   
outer court2 and behold1 there were     
chambers and a pavement1 made for the   
court round about3          thirty      
chambers were on the pavement4  #jdj3jah
 ,the pavement was by the side of the   
gates1 answerable to          the length
 of the gates1 even the lower pavement4 
#jdj3jai ,then he measured the breadth  
from the forefront of the lower gate    
to the forefront of the inner court     
outside1 one hundred cubits1            
both on the east and on the north4      
#jdj3jbj ,the gate of the outer court   

whose prospect is toward the north1     
he measured the length of it and the    
breadth of it4  #jdj3jba ,the lodges of 
it were three on this side and three on 
that side2          and the posts of it 
and the arches of it were after the     
measure          of the first gate3  the
 length of it was fifty cubits1         
and the breadth twenty-five cubits4     
#jdj3jbb ,the windows of it1 and the    
arches of it1 and the palm trees        
of it1 were after the measure of the    
gate whose prospect          is toward  
the east2 and they went up to it by     
seven steps2          and the arches of 
it were before them4  #jdj3jbc ,there   
was a gate to the inner court over      
against the other gate1          both on
 the north and on the east2 and he      
measured from gate          to gate one 
hundred cubits4  #jdj3jbd ,he led me    
toward the south2 and behold1 a gate    
toward the south3          and he       
measured the posts of it and the arches 
of it according          to these       

measures4  #jdj3jbe ,there were windows 
in it and in the arches of it round     
about1          like those windows3  the
 length was fifty cubits1          and  
the breadth twenty-five cubits4         
#jdj3jbf ,there were seven steps to go  
up to it1 and the arches of it          
were before them2 and it had palm trees1
 one on this side1          and another 
on that side1 on the posts of it4       
#jdj3jbg ,there was a gate to the inner 
court toward the south3          and he 
measured from gate to gate toward the   
south          a hundred cubits4        
#jdj3jbh ,then he brought me to the     
inner court by the south gate3          
and he measured the south gate according
 to these measures2  #jdj3jbi and the   
lodges of it1 and the posts of it1 and  
the arches of it1          according to 
these measures3  and there were windows 
in it          and in the arches of it  
round about2 it was fifty cubits long1  
and twenty-five cubits broad4  #jdj3jcj 
,there were arches round about1         

twenty-five cubits long1          and   
five cubits broad4  #jdj3jca ,the arches
 of it were toward the outer court2 and 
palm trees          were on the posts of
 it3  and the ascent to it had eight    
steps4  #jdj3jcb ,he brought me into the
 inner court toward the east3           
and he measured the gate according to   
these measures2  #jdj3jcc and the lodges
 of it1 and the posts of it1 and the    
arches of it1          according to     
these measures3  and there were windows 
therein          and in the arches of it
 round about2 it was fifty cubits long1 
and twenty-five cubits broad4  #jdj3jcd 
,the arches of it were toward the outer 
court2 and palm trees          were on  
the posts of it1 on this side1 and on   
that side3          and the ascent to it
 had eight steps4  #jdj3jce ,he brought 
me to the north gate3  and he measured  
it according          to these measures2
  #jdj3jcf the lodges of it1 the posts  
of it1 and the arches of it3            
and there were windows therein round

,a chamber with the door of it was by   
the posts at the gates2          there  
they washed the burnt offering4         
#jdj3jci ,in the porch of the gate were 
two tables on this side1          and   
two tables on that side1 to kill thereon
 the burnt offering          and the sin
 offering and the trespass offering4    
#jdj3jdj ,on the one side outside1 as   
one goes up to the entry of the gate    
toward the north1 were two tables2 and  
on the other side1          which       
belonged to the porch of the gate1 were 
two tables4  #jdj3jda ,four tables were 
on this side1 and four tables on that   
side1          by the side of the gate2 
eight tables1 whereupon they            
killed the sacrifices4  #jdj3jdb ,there 

were four tables for the burnt offering1
 of hewn stone1          a cubit and a  
half long1 and a cubit and a half broad1
          and one cubit high2 whereupon 
they laid the instruments          with 
which they killed the burnt offering and
 the sacrifice4  #jdj3jdc ,the hooks1 a 
handbreadth long1 were fastened within  
round about3          and on the tables 
was the flesh of the offering4  #jdj3jdd
 ,outside of the inner gate were        
chambers for the singers          in the
 inner court1 which was at the side of  
the north gate2          and their      
prospect was toward the south2 one at   
the side          of the east gate      
having the prospect toward the north4   
#jdj3jde ,he said to me1 ,this chamber1 
whose prospect is toward the south1     
is for the priests1 the keepers of the  
charge of the house2  #jdj3jdf and the  
chamber whose prospect is toward the    
north is          for the priests1 the  
keepers of the charge of the altar3     
these are the sons of ,zadok1 who from  

among the sons of ,levi          come   
near to ,yahweh to minister to him4     
#jdj3jdg ,he measured the court1 one    
hundred cubits long1 and a hundred      
cubits broad1 foursquare2 and the altar 
was before the house4  #jdj3jdh ,then he
 brought me to the porch of the house1  
and measured each          post of the  
porch1 five cubits on this side1 and    
five cubits          on that side3  and 
the breadth of the gate was three cubits
          on this side1 and three cubits
 on that side4  #jdj3jdi ,the length of 
the porch was twenty cubits1 and the    
breadth          eleven cubits2 even by 
the steps by which they went up to it3  
and there were pillars by the posts1 one
 on this side1          and another on  
that side4  #jda3jja ,he brought me to  
the temple1 and measured the posts1 six 
cubits          broad on the one side1  
and six cubits broad on the other side1 
which was the breadth of the tent4      
#jda3jjb ,the breadth of the entrance   
was ten cubits2 and the sides           

of the entrance were five cubits on the 
one side1 and five          cubits on   
the other side3  and he measured the    
length of it1          forty cubits1 and
 the breadth1 twenty cubits4  #jda3jjc  
,then went he inward1 and measured each 
post of the entrance1          two      
cubits2 and the entrance1 six cubits2   
and the breadth          of the         
entrance1 seven cubits4  #jda3jjd ,he   
measured the length of it1 twenty       
cubits1 and the breadth1          twenty
 cubits1 before the temple3  and he said
 to me1          ,this is the most holy 
place4  #jda3jje ,then he measured the  
wall of the house1 six cubits2          
and the breadth of every side chamber1  
four cubits1          round about the   
house on every side4  #jda3jjf ,the side
 chambers were in three stories1 one    
over another1          and thirty in    
order2 and they entered into the wall   
which          belonged to the house for
 the side chambers round about1         
that they might have hold therein1 and  

not have hold          in the wall of   
the house4  #jda3jjg ,the side chambers 
were broader as they encompassed the    
house higher and higher2 for the        
encompassing of          the house went 
higher and higher round about the house3
          therefore the breadth of the  
house continued upward2          and so 
one went up from the lowest chamber to  
the highest          by the middle      
chamber4  #jda3jjh ,i saw also that the 
house had a raised base round about3    
the foundations of the side chambers    
were a full reed          of six great  
cubits4  #jda3jji ,the thickness of the 
wall1 which was for the side chambers1  
on the outside1 was five cubits3  and   
that which was left was          the    
place of the side chambers that belonged
 to the house4  #jda3jaj ,between the   
chambers was a breadth of twenty cubits 
round          about the house on every 
side4  #jda3jaa ,the doors of the side  
chambers were toward the place that was 
left1          one door toward the      

north1 and another door toward the      
south3          and the breadth of the  
place that was left was five            
cubits round about4  #jda3jab ,the      
building that was before the separate   
place at the side          toward the   
west was seventy cubits broad2 and the  
wall of          the building was five  
cubits thick round about1 and the length
          of it ninety cubits4  #jda3jac
 ,so he measured the house1 one hundred 
cubits long2          and the separate  
place1 and the building1 with the walls 
of it1          one hundred cubits long2
  #jda3jad also the breadth of the face 
of the house1 and of the separate       
place toward the east1 one hundred      
cubits4  #jda3jae ,he measured the      
length of the building before the       
separate          place which was at the
 back of it1 and the galleries of it    
on the one side and on the other side1  
one hundred cubits2          and the    
inner temple1 and the porches of the    
court2  #jda3jaf the thresholds1 and the

 closed windows1 and the galleries round
          about on their three stories1 
over against the threshold1 with wood   
ceilings round about1 and from the      
ground up to the windows1          7now

face of a man toward the palm tree on   
the one side1 and the face of a young   
lion toward the palm          tree on   
the other side4  thus was it made       
through all          the house round

above the door were cherubim and palm   
trees made3          thus was the wall  
of the temple4  #jda3jba ,as for the    
temple1 the door posts were squared2 and
 as for the face          of the        

sanctuary1 the appearance of it was as  
the appearance          of the temple4  
#jda3jbb ,the altar was of wood1 three  
cubits high1 and the length of it       
two cubits2 and the corners of it1 and  
the length of it1          and the walls
 of it1 were of wood3  and he said to   
me1          ,this is the table that is 
before ,yahweh4  #jda3jbc ,the temple   
and the sanctuary had two doors4        
#jda3jbd ,the doors had two leaves      
apiece1 two turning leaves3          two
 leaves for the one door1 and two leaves
 for the other4  #jda3jbe ,there were   
made on them1 on the doors of the       
temple1          cherubim and palm      
trees1 like as were made on the walls2  
and there was a threshold of wood on the
 face of the porch outside4  #jda3jbf   
,there were closed windows and palm     
trees on the one side          and on   
the other side1 on the sides of the     
porch3          thus were the side      
chambers of the house1 and the          
thresholds4  #jdb3jja ,then he brought  

me forth into the outer court1 the way  
toward          the north3  and he      
brought me into the chamber that was    
over against the separate place1 and    
which was over against          the     
building toward the north4  #jdb3jjb    
,before the length of one hundred cubits
 was the north door1          and the   
breadth was fifty cubits4  #jdb3jjc     
,over against the twenty cubits which   
belonged to the inner court1            
and over against the pavement which     
belonged to the outer court1            
was gallery against gallery in the third
 story4  #jdb3jjd ,before the chambers  
was a walk of ten cubits' breadth       
inward1          a way of one cubit2 and
 their doors were toward the north4     
#jdb3jje ,now the upper chambers were   
shorter2 for the galleries took         
away from these1 more than from the     
lower and the middle1          in the   
building4  #jdb3jjf ,for they were in   
three stories1 and they didn't have     
pillars          as the pillars of the  

courts3  therefore the uppermost was    
straitened more than the lowest and the 
middle from the ground4  #jdb3jjg ,the  
wall that was outside by the side of the
 chambers1          toward the outer    
court before the chambers1 the length of
 it          was fifty cubits4  #jdb3jjh
 ,for the length of the chambers that   
were in the outer court          was    
fifty cubits3  and behold1 before the   
temple were          one hundred cubits4
  #jdb3jji ,from under these chambers   
was the entry on the east side1         
as one goes into them from the outer    
court4  #jdb3jaj ,in the thickness of   
the wall of the court toward the east1  
before the separate place1 and before   
the building1          there were       
chambers4  #jdb3jaa ,the way before them
 was like the appearance of the way of  
the chambers which were toward the      
north2 according to their               
length so was their breadth3  and all   
their exits were both          according
 to their fashions1 and according to    

their doors4  #jdb3jab ,according to the
 doors of the chambers that were toward 
the south          was a door at the    
head of the way1 even the way directly  
before the wall toward the east1 as one 
enters into them4  #jdb3jac ,then said  
he to me1 ,the north chambers and the   
south chambers1          which are      
before the separate place1 they are the 
holy chambers1          where the       
priests who are near to ,yahweh shall   
eat the most          holy things3      
there shall they lay the most holy      
things1 and the          meal offering1 
and the sin offering1 and the trespass  
offering2          for the place is     
holy4  #jdb3jad ,when the priests enter 
in1 then shall they not go out of       
the holy place into the outer court1 but
 there they shall lay          their    
garments in which they minister2 for    
they are holy3          and they shall  
put on other garments1 and shall        
approach          to that which pertains
 to the people4  #jdb3jae ,now when he  

had made an end of measuring the inner  
house1          he brought me forth by  
the way of the gate whose prospect      
is toward the east1 and measured it     
round about4  #jdb3jaf ,he measured on  
the east side with the measuring reed   
five          hundred reeds1 with the   
measuring reed round about4  #jdb3jag   
,he measured on the north side five     
hundred reeds with the measuring        
reed round about4  #jdb3jah ,he measured
 on the south side five hundred reeds   
with          the measuring reed4

bodies of their kings in their high

their sight2 that they          may keep
 the whole form of it1 and all the      
ordinances of it1          and do them4

on the top of the mountain          the 
whole limit of it round about shall be  
most holy4          ,behold1 this is the

the measures of the altar by cubits 7the
 cubit          is a cubit and a        
handbreadth73  the bottom shall be a    
cubit1          and the breadth a cubit1
 and the border of it by the edge of it 
round about a span2 and this shall be

the bottom on the ground to the lower   
ledge shall          be two cubits1 and 
the breadth one cubit2 and from         
the lesser ledge to the greater ledge   
shall be four cubits1          and the  

breadth a cubit4  #jdc3jae ,the upper   
altar shall be four cubits2 and from the
 altar hearth          and upward there 
shall be four horns4  #jdc3jaf ,the     
altar hearth shall be twelve cubits long
 by twelve broad1          square in the
 four sides of it4  #jdc3jag ,the ledge 
shall be fourteen cubits long by        
fourteen broad          in the four     
sides of it2 and the border about it    
shall be half          a cubit2 and the 
bottom of it shall be a cubit round     
about2          and the steps of it     
shall look toward the east4  #jdc3jah   
,he said to me1 ,son of man1 thus says  
the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,these are          
the ordinances of the altar in the day  
when they shall make it1          to    
offer burnt offerings thereon1 and to   
sprinkle blood thereon4  #jdc3jai ,you  
shall give to the priests the ,levites  
who are of          the seed of ,zadok1 
who are near to me1 to minister to me1  
says the ,lord ,yahweh1 a young bull for
 a sin offering4  #jdc3jbj ,you shall   

take of the blood of it1 and put it on  
the four horns of it1          and on   
the four corners of the ledge1 and on   
the border round about3          thus   
shall you cleanse it and make atonement 
for it4  #jdc3jba ,you shall also take  
the bull of the sin offering1           
and it shall be burnt in the appointed  
place of the house1          outside of 
the sanctuary4  #jdc3jbb ,on the second 
day you shall offer a male goat without 
blemish          for a sin offering2 and
 they shall cleanse the altar1          
as they did cleanse it with the bull4   
#jdc3jbc ,when you have made an end of  
cleansing it1 you shall offer a young   
bull without blemish1 and a ram out of  
the flock without blemish4  #jdc3jbd    
,you shall bring them near before       
,yahweh1 and the priests shall          
cast salt on them1 and they shall offer 
them up for a burnt          offering to
 ,yahweh4  #jdc3jbe ,seven days shall   
you prepare every day a goat for a sin  
offering3          they shall also      

prepare a young bull1 and a ram out of  
the flock1 without blemish4  #jdc3jbf   
,seven days shall they make atonement   
for the altar and purify it2          so
 shall they consecrate it4  #jdc3jbg    
,when they have accomplished the days1  
it shall be that on          the eighth 
day1 and forward1 the priests shall make
 your          burnt offerings on the   
altar1 and your peace offerings2        
and ,i will accept you1 says the ,lord

back by the way of the outer gate of the
 sanctuary1          which looks toward

,yahweh said to me1 ,this gate shall be 
shut2 it shall not be opened1           
neither shall any man enter in by it2   
for ,yahweh1 the ,god          of       
,israel1 has entered in by it2 therefore
 it shall be shut4  #jdd3jjc ,as for the
 prince1 he shall sit therein as prince 
to eat bread          before ,yahweh2 he
 shall enter by the way of the porch of 
the gate1          and shall go out by  

the way of the same4  #jdd3jjd ,then he 
brought me by the way of the north gate 
before the house2          and ,i       
looked1 and behold1 the glory of ,yahweh
 filled the house          of ,yahweh3  
and ,i fell on my face4  #jdd3jje       
,yahweh said to me1 ,son of man1 mark   
well1 and see with your eyes1           
and hear with your ears all that ,i tell
 you concerning all          the        
ordinances of the house of ,yahweh1 and 
all the laws of it2          and mark   
well the entrance of the house1 with    
every exit          of the sanctuary4

 even to the house of ,israel1 ,thus    
says          the ,lord ,yahweh3  you   
house of ,israel1 let it suffice you

that you have brought in foreigners1

uncircumcised in flesh1 to be in my     
sanctuary1          to profane it1 even 
my house1 when you offer my bread1      
the fat and the blood1 and they have    

broken my covenant1          to add to

have not kept the charge of my holy     
things2 but you have          set       
keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for
 yourselves4  #jdd3jji ,thus says the   
,lord ,yahweh1 ,no foreigner1           
uncircumcised in heart          and     
uncircumcised in flesh1 shall enter into
 my sanctuary1          of any          
foreigners who are among the children of
 ,israel4  #jdd3jaj ,but the ,levites   
who went far from me1 when ,israel went 
astray1          who went astray from me
 after their idols1 they shall          
bear their iniquity4  #jdd3jaa ,yet they
 shall be ministers in my sanctuary1    
having oversight          at the gates  
of the house1 and ministering in the    
house3          they shall kill the     
burnt offering and the sacrifice for the
 people1          and they shall stand  
before them to minister to them4        
#jdd3jab ,because they ministered to    
them before their idols1          and   

became a stumbling block of iniquity to 
the house          of ,israel2 therefore
 have ,i lifted up my hand against them1
          says the ,lord ,yahweh1 and   
they shall bear their iniquity4         
#jdd3jac ,they shall not come near to   
me1 to execute the office          of   
priest to me1 nor to come near to any of
 my holy things1          to the things 
that are most holy2 but they shall bear 
their shame1          and their         
abominations which they have committed4 
#jdd3jad ,yet will ,i make them keepers 
of the charge of the house1 for all     
the service of it1 and for all that     
shall be done therein4  #jdd3jae ,but   
the priests the ,levites1 the sons of   
,zadok1 who kept          the charge of 
my sanctuary when the children of       
,israel went          astray from me1   
they shall come near to me to minister  
to me2          and they shall stand    
before me to offer to me the fat and    
the blood1 says the ,lord ,yahweh3      
#jdd3jaf they shall enter into my       

sanctuary1 and they shall come near     
to my table1 to minister to me1 and they
 shall keep my charge4  #jdd3jag ,it    
shall be that1 when they enter in at the
 gates of the          inner court1 they
 shall be clothed with linen garments2  
and no wool shall come on them1 while   
they minister in the gates          of  
the inner court1 and within4  #jdd3jah  
,they shall have linen tires on their   
heads1 and shall have linen             
breeches on their waists2 they shall not
 gird themselves          with anything 
that causes sweat4  #jdd3jai ,when they 
go forth into the outer court1 even into
 the outer          court to the people1
 they shall put off their garments      
in which they minister1 and lay them in 
the holy chambers2          and they    
shall put on other garments1 that they  
not sanctify          the people with   
their garments4  #jdd3jbj ,neither shall
 they shave their heads1 nor allow their
 locks          to grow long2 they shall
 only cut off the hair of their heads4  

#jdd3jba ,neither shall any of the      
priests drink wine1 when they enter     
into the inner court4  #jdd3jbb ,neither
 shall they take for their wives a      
widow1 nor her who is          put away2
 but they shall take virgins of the seed
 of the house          of ,israel1 or a 
widow who is the widow of a priest4     
#jdd3jbc ,they shall teach my people the
 difference between the holy            
and the common1 and cause them to       
discern between the unclean          and
 the clean4  #jdd3jbd ,in a controversy 
they shall stand to judge2 according to 
my          ordinances shall they judge 
it3  and they shall keep my laws        
and my statutes in all my appointed     
feasts2 and they shall          make my 
,sabbaths holy4  #jdd3jbe ,they shall go
 in to no dead person to defile         
themselves2          but for father1 or 
for mother1 or for son1 or for daughter1
          for brother1 or for sister who
 has had no husband1          they may  
defile themselves4  #jdd3jbf ,after he  

is cleansed1 they shall reckon to him   
seven days4  #jdd3jbg ,in the day that  
he goes into the sanctuary1 into the    
inner court1          to minister in the
 sanctuary1 he shall offer his sin      
offering1          says the ,lord       
,yahweh4  #jdd3jbh ,they shall have an  
inheritance3  ,i am their inheritance2  
and you          shall give them no     
possession in ,israel2 ,i am their      
possession4  #jdd3jbi ,they shall eat   
the meal offering1 and the sin offering1
          and the trespass offering2 and
 every devoted thing in ,israel         
shall be theirs4  #jdd3jcj ,the first of
 all the first fruits of every thing1   
and every offering          of          
everything1 of all your offerings1 shall
 be for the priest3          you shall  
also give to the priests the first of   
your dough1          to cause a blessing
 to rest on your house4  #jdd3jca ,the  
priests shall not eat of anything that  
dies of itself1          or is torn1    
whether it be bird or animal4  #jde3jja 

,moreover1 when you shall divide by lot 
the land for inheritance1          you  
shall offer an offering to ,yahweh1 a   
holy portion          of the land2 the  
length shall be the length of           
twenty-five          thousand reeds1 and
 the breadth shall be ten thousand3     
it shall be holy in all the border of it
 round about4  #jde3jjb ,of this there  
shall be for the holy place five hundred
 in          length by five hundred in  
breadth1 square round about2            
and fifty cubits for the suburbs of it  
round about4  #jde3jjc ,of this measure 
shall you measure a length of           
twenty-five thousand1          and a    
breadth of ten thousand3  and in it     
shall be the sanctuary1          which  
is most holy4  #jde3jjd ,it is a holy   
portion of the land2 it shall be for the
 priests1          the ministers of the 
sanctuary1 who come near to minister to 
,yahweh2          and it shall be a     
place for their houses1 and a holy place
          for the sanctuary4  #jde3jje  

,twenty-five thousand in length1 and ten
 thousand in breadth1          shall be 
to the ,levites1 the ministers of the   
house1          for a possession to     
themselves1 for twenty chambers4        
#jde3jjf ,you shall appoint the         
possession of the city five thousand    
broad1          and twenty-five thousand
 long1 side by side with the offering   
of the holy portion3  it shall be for   
the whole house of ,israel4  #jde3jjg   
,whatever is for the prince shall be on 
the one side and on          the other  
side of the holy offering and of the    
possession          of the city1 in     
front of the holy offering and in front 
of the possession of the city1 on the   
west side westward1          and on the 
east side eastward2 and in length       
answerable to one          of the       
portions1 from the west border to the   
east border4  #jde3jjh ,in the land it  
shall be to him for a possession in     
,israel3          and my princes shall  
no more oppress my people2 but they     

shall          give the land to the     
house of ,israel according to their     
tribes4  #jde3jji ,thus says the ,lord  
,yahweh3  ,let it suffice you1 princes  
of ,israel3          remove violence and
 spoil1 and execute justice and         
righteousness2          dispossessing my
 people1 says the ,lord ,yahweh4        
#jde3jaj ,you shall have just balances1 
and a just ephah1 and a just bath4      
#jde3jaa ,the ephah and the bath shall  
be of one measure1 that the bath        
may contain the tenth part of a homer1  
and the ephah the tenth          part of
 a homer3  the measure of it shall be   
after the homer4  #jde3jab ,the shekel  
shall be twenty gerahs4  ,twenty shekels
 plus          twenty-five shekels plus 
fifteen shekels shall be your mina4     
#jde3jac ,this is the offering that you 
shall offer3  the sixth part          of
 an ephah from a homer of wheat2 and you
 shall give the sixth          part of  
an ephah from a homer of barley2        
#jde3jad and the set portion of oil1 of 

the bath of oil1 the tenth part         
of a bath out of the cor1 which is ten  
baths1 even a homer2          7for ten  
baths are a homer27  #jde3jae and one   
lamb of the flock1 out of two hundred1  
from the well-watered          pastures 
of ,israel--for a meal offering1 and for
 a burnt offering1          and for     
peace offerings1 to make atonement for  
them1          says the ,lord ,yahweh4  
#jde3jaf ,all the people of the land    
shall give to this offering for         
the prince in ,israel4  #jde3jag ,it    
shall be the prince's part to give the  
burnt offerings1          and the meal  
offerings1 and the drink offerings1     
in the feasts1 and on the new moons1 and
 on the ,sabbaths1          in all the  
appointed feasts of the house of        
,israel3          he shall prepare the  
sin offering1 and the meal offering1    
and the burnt offering1 and the peace   
offerings1 to make          atonement   
for the house of ,israel4  #jde3jah     
,thus says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,in the  

first month1 in the first          day  
of the month1 you shall take a young    
bull without blemish2          and you  
shall cleanse the sanctuary4  #jde3jai  
,the priest shall take of the blood of  
the sin offering1          and put it on
 the door posts of the house1 and on the
 four          corners of the ledge of  
the altar1 and on the posts of the gate 
of the inner court4  #jde3jbj ,so you   
shall do on the seventh day of the month
 for everyone          who errs1 and for
 him who is simple3  so shall you make  
atonement for the house4  #jde3jba ,in  
the first month1 in the fourteenth day  
of the month1          you shall have   
the ,passover1 a feast of seven days2   
unleavened bread shall be eaten4        
#jde3jbb ,on that day shall the prince  
prepare for himself and for all         
the people of the land a bull for a sin 
offering4  #jde3jbc ,the seven days of  
the feast he shall prepare a burnt      
offering          to ,yahweh1 seven     
bulls and seven rams without blemish    

daily          the seven days2 and a    
male goat daily for a sin offering4     
#jde3jbd ,he shall prepare a meal       
offering1 an ephah for a bull1          
and an ephah for a ram1 and a hin of oil
 to an ephah4  #jde3jbe ,in the seventh 
month1 in the fifteenth day of the      
month1          in the feast1 shall he  
do the like the seven days2             
according to the sin offering1 according
 to the burnt offering1          and    
according to the meal offering1 and     
according to the oil4  #jdf3jja ,thus   
says the ,lord ,yahweh3  ,the gate of   
the inner court that          looks     
toward the east shall be shut the six   
working days2          but on the       
,sabbath day it shall be opened1 and on 
the day          of the new moon it     
shall be opened4  #jdf3jjb ,the prince  
shall enter by the way of the porch of  
the gate outside1          and shall    
stand by the post of the gate2 and the  
priests          shall prepare his burnt
 offering and his peace offerings1      

and he shall worship at the threshold of
 the gate3          then he shall go    
forth2 but the gate shall not be shut   
until the evening4  #jdf3jjc ,the people
 of the land shall worship at the door  
of that gate          before ,yahweh on 
the ,sabbaths and on the new moons4     
#jdf3jjd ,the burnt offering that the   
prince shall offer to ,yahweh           
shall be on the ,sabbath day six lambs  
without blemish and a          ram      
without blemish2  #jdf3jje and the meal 
offering shall be an ephah for the ram1 
and the meal offering for the lambs as  
he is able to give1          and a hin  
of oil to an ephah4  #jdf3jjf ,on the   
day of the new moon it shall be a young 
bull without blemish1          and six  
lambs1 and a ram2 they shall be without 
blemish3  #jdf3jjg and he shall prepare 
a meal offering1 an ephah for the bull1 
and an ephah for the ram1 and for the   
lambs according          as he is able1 
and a hin of oil to an ephah4  #jdf3jjh 
,when the prince shall enter1 he shall  

go in by the way of the porch           
of the gate1 and he shall go forth by   
the way of it4  #jdf3jji ,but when the  
people of the land shall come before    
,yahweh          in the appointed       
feasts1 he who enters by the way of the 
north          gate to worship shall go 
forth by the way of the south gate2     
and he who enters by the way of the     
south gate shall go          forth by   
the way of the north gate3  he shall not
 return          by the way of the gate 
by which he came in1 but shall go       
forth straight before him4  #jdf3jaj    
,the prince1 when they go in1 shall go  
in with of them2          and when they 
go out1 he shall go out4  #jdf3jaa ,in  
the feasts and in the solemnities the   
meal offering          shall be an ephah
 for a bull1 and an ephah for a ram1    
and for the lambs as he is able to give1
 and a hin of oil          to an ephah4 
#jdf3jab ,when the prince shall prepare 
a freewill offering1 a burnt            
offering or peace offerings as a        

freewill offering to ,yahweh1           
one shall open for him the gate that    
looks toward the east2          and he  
shall prepare his burnt offering and his
 peace offerings1          as he does on
 the ,sabbath day3  then he shall go    
forth2          and after his going     
forth one shall shut the gate4  #jdf3jac
 ,you shall prepare a lamb a year old   
without blemish for a          burnt    
offering to ,yahweh daily3  morning by  
morning shall          you prepare it4  
#jdf3jad ,you shall prepare a meal      
offering with it morning by morning1    
the sixth part of an ephah1 and the     
third part of a hin of oil1          to 
moisten the fine flour2 a meal offering 
to ,yahweh continually          by a    
perpetual ordinance4  #jdf3jae ,thus    
shall they prepare the lamb1 and the    
meal offering1          and the oil1    
morning by morning1 for a continual     
burnt offering4  #jdf3jaf ,thus says the
 ,lord ,yahweh3  ,if the prince give a  
gift to any          of his sons1 it is 

his inheritance1 it shall belong to his 
sons2          it is their possession by
 inheritance4  #jdf3jag ,but if he give 
of his inheritance a gift to one of his 
servants1          it shall be his to   
the year of liberty2 then it shall      
return to the prince2 but as for his    
inheritance1 it shall          be for   
his sons4  #jdf3jah ,moreover the prince
 shall not take of the people's         
inheritance1          to thrust them out
 of their possession2 he shall give     
inheritance to his sons out of his own

trespass offering and the sin offering1 

and where they          shall bake the  
meal offering2 that they not bring them 
forth          into the outer court1 to

brought me forth into the outer court1  
and caused          me to pass by the   
four corners of the court2 and behold1  
in every corner of the court there was a

of the court there were courts enclosed1
          forty cubits long and thirty  
broad3  these four in the corners       
were of one measure4  #jdf3jbc ,there   
was a wall round about in them1 round   
about the four1          and boiling    
places were made under the walls round

,these are the boiling houses1 where the
          ministers of the house shall  
boil the sacrifice of the people4

region1 and shall go down into the

toward the sea2 into the sea shall      
the waters go which were made to issue  
forth2 and the waters          shall be

 every living creature which swarms1    
in every place where the rivers come1   
shall live2 and there          shall be 
a very great multitude of fish2 for     
these waters          are come there1   
and the waters of the sea shall be      
healed1          and everything shall   
live wherever the river comes4  #jdg3jaj

 ,it shall happen1 that fishermen shall 
stand by it3          from ,en ,gedi    
even to ,en ,eglaim shall be a place for
 the          spreading of nets2 their  
fish shall be after their kinds1        
as the fish of the great sea1 exceeding 
many4  #jdg3jaa ,but the miry places of 
it1 and the marshes of it1 shall not    
be healed2 they shall be given up to    
salt4  #jdg3jab ,by the river on the    
bank of it1 on this side and on that    
side1          shall grow every tree for
 food1 whose leaf shall not wither1     
neither shall the fruit of it fail3  it 
shall bring forth          new fruit    
every month1 because the waters of it   
issue out          of the sanctuary2 and
 the fruit of it shall be for food1     
and the leaf of it for healing4

shall divide the land for inheritance   
according to the twelve          tribes

from the north border to the east sea

southward shall be from ,tamar as far as
 the waters          of ,meriboth       

,kadesh1 to the brook of ,egypt1 to the 
great sea4          ,this is the south

 shall be the great sea1 from the south 
border as far as over against the       
entrance of ,hamath4          ,this is

divide this land to you according to the
          tribes of ,israel4  #jdg3jbb  
,it shall happen1 that you shall divide 
it by lot for an          inheritance to
 you and to the strangers who sojourn   
among you1          who shall father    
children among you2 and they shall be to
 you          as the native-born among  
the children of ,israel2 they shall     
have inheritance with you among the

happen1 that in what tribe the stranger 
sojourns1          there shall you give

shall be the offering which you shall   
offer1 twenty-five thousand             

reeds in breadth1 and in length as one  
of the portions1          from the east 
side to the west side3  and the         
sanctuary shall          be in the midst

 shall offer to ,yahweh shall be        
twenty-five          thousand reeds in  
length1 and ten thousand in breadth4

priests1 shall be the holy offering3    
toward the north twenty-five thousand in
 length1 and toward          the west   
ten thousand in breadth1 and toward the 
east ten thousand          in breadth1  
and toward the south twenty-five

sanctuary of ,yahweh shall be in the

the priests who are sanctified of the   
sons          of ,zadok1 who have kept  
my charge1 who didn't go astray when    
the children of ,israel went astray1 as

shall be to them an offering from the

most holy1 by the border of the

border of the priests1 the ,levites     
shall have          twenty-five thousand
 in length1 and ten thousand in breadth3
          all the length shall be       
twenty-five thousand1 and the

nor shall the first          fruits of  
the land be alienated2 for it is holy to

for dwelling and for suburbs2 and the   
city          shall be in the midst of

the south side four thousand and five   
hundred1          and on the east side  
four thousand and five hundred1         
and the west side four thousand and five
 hundred4  #jdh3jag ,the city shall have

 suburbs3  toward the north two hundred 
fifty1          and toward the south two
 hundred fifty1 and toward the east     
two hundred fifty1 and toward the west  
two hundred fifty4  #jdh3jah ,the       
remainder in the length1 answerable to  
the holy offering1          shall be ten
 thousand eastward1 and ten thousand    
westward2          and it shall be      
answerable to the holy offering2 and the
 increase          of it shall be for   
food to those who labor in the city4    
#jdh3jai ,those who labor in the city1  
out of all the tribes of ,israel1       
shall cultivate it4  #jdh3jbj ,all the  
offering shall be twenty-five thousand  
by          twenty-five thousand3  you  
shall offer the holy offering           
four-square1          with the          
possession of the city4  #jdh3jba ,the  
residue shall be for the prince1 on the 
one side and on          the other of   
the holy offering and of the possession 
of the city2          in front of the   
twenty-five thousand of the offering

westward in front of the twenty-five    
thousand toward the west border1        
answerable to the portions1          it 
shall be for the prince3  and the holy  
offering and          the sanctuary of  
the house shall be in the midst of it4

the city from that day shall be1 ,yahweh
