tens1          and officers1 according

your judges at that time1 saying1 ,hear 
the causes          between your        
brothers1 and judge righteously between 
a man          and his brother1 and the 
foreigner who is living with him4

in judgment2 you shall hear the small   
and the great alike2 you shall not be   

afraid of the face of man2          for 
the judgment is ,god's3 and the cause   
that is too hard          for you1 you  
shall bring to me1 and ,i will hear it4

all the things which you should do4

went through all that great and         
terrible wilderness which you saw1 by   
the way to the hill          country of

you1 ,you are come to the hill country  
of the ,amorites1          which ,yahweh

,behold1 ,yahweh your ,god has set the  
land before you3          go up1 take   
possession1 as ,yahweh1 the ,god of your
 fathers1          has spoken to you2   
don't be afraid1 neither be dismayed4

of you1 and said1 ,let us send          
men before us1 that they may search the 
land for us1          and bring us word 

again of the way by which we must go up1
          and the cities to which we

          one man for every tribe3

into the hill country1 and came

has brought us forth out of the land of

he will fight for you1                  
according to all that he did for you in

how that ,yahweh          your ,god bore
 you1 as a man does bear his son1 in all
 the way          that you went1 until

in this thing you didn't believe ,yahweh

you in the way1 to seek you out a place 
to pitch          your tents in1 in fire
 by night1 to show you by what way you  
should go1 and in the cloud by day4

 words1 and was angry1          and     
swore1 saying1  #jja3jce ,surely there  
shall not one of these men of this evil 
generation          see the good land1  

which ,i swore to give to your fathers1

,jephunneh3  he shall see it2 and to him
          will ,i give the land that he 
has trodden on1 and to his children1    
because he has wholly followed ,yahweh4

,kadesh many days1 according to the days
          that you abode there4

journey into the wilderness by          
the way to the ,red ,seaor1 ,sea of     
,reeds1 as ,yahweh spoke to me2         
and we compassed ,mount ,seir many days4
  #jjb3jjb ,yahweh spoke to me1 saying1 
#jjb3jjc ,you have compassed this       
mountain long enough3          turn you 
northward4  #jjb3jjd ,command you the   
people1 saying1 ,you are to pass through
          the border of your brothers   
the children of ,esau1          who     
dwell in ,seir2 and they will be afraid 
of you3          take good heed to      
yourselves therefore2  #jjb3jje don't   
contend with them2 for ,i will not give 
you of their land1          no1 not so  
much as for the sole of the foot to     
tread on2          because ,i have given
 ,mount ,seir to ,esau for a possession4

them for money1 that you may eat2       
and you shall also buy water of them for

he has known your walking through this

years ,yahweh your ,god has been with

brothers the children of ,esau1 who     
dwell          in ,seir1 from the way of
 the ,arabah from ,elath and from ,ezion
 ,geber4          ,we turned and passed 
by the way of the wilderness of ,moab4  
#jjb3jji ,yahweh said to me1 ,don't     
bother ,moab1 neither contend with them 
in battle2 for ,i will not give you of  
his land for a possession2              
because ,i have given ,ar to the        
children of ,lot for a possession4

before1 a people great1 and many1

don't bother them1 nor contend with     

them2 for ,i will not give          you 
of the land of the children of ,ammon   
for a possession2          because ,i   
have given it to the children of ,lot

is accounted a land of ,rephaim3        
,rephaim lived          therein before2 
but the ,ammonites call them ,zamzummim1

they succeeded them1          and lived

,rise up1 take your journey1 and pass   
over the valley of the ,arnon3          
behold1 ,i have given into your hand    

,sihon the ,amorite1          king of   
,heshbon1 and his land2 begin to possess
 it1 and contend          with him in

begin to put the dread of you and the   
fear          of you on the peoples who 
are under the whole sky1 who shall      
hear the report of you1 and shall       
tremble1 and be in anguish

messengers out of the wilderness of     
,kedemoth to ,sihon          king of    
,heshbon with words of peace1 saying1   
#jjb3jbg ,let me pass through your land3
  ,i will go along by the highway1      
,i will turn neither to the right hand

sell me food for money1 that ,i may eat2
 and give me          water for money1  
that ,i may drink3  only let me pass

would not let us pass by him2           
for ,yahweh your ,god hardened his      
spirit1 and made his          heart     
obstinate1 that he might deliver him    
into your hand1          as at this day4

,i have begun to deliver up ,sihon      
and his land before you3  begin to      
possess1 that you may          inherit  
his land4  #jjb3jcb ,then ,sihon came   
out against us1 he and all his people1  
to battle at ,jahaz4  #jjb3jcc ,yahweh  
our ,god delivered him up before us2 and
 we struck him1          and his sons1

all his cities at that time1 and utterly
 destroyed          every inhabited     
city1 with the women and the little

          all the side of the river

country1          and wherever ,yahweh

and ,og the king          of ,bashan    
came out against us1 he and all his     
people1          to battle at ,edrei4   
#jjc3jjb ,yahweh said to me1 ,don't fear
 him2 for ,i have delivered him1        
and all his people1 and his land1 into  
your hand2 and you          shall do to 
him as you did to ,sihon king of the    
,amorites1          who lived at        
,heshbon4  #jjc3jjc ,so ,yahweh our ,god
 delivered into our hand ,og also1 the  
king          of ,bashan1 and all his   
people3  and we struck him until none   

was left to him remaining4  #jjc3jjd ,we
 took all his cities at that time2 there
 was not a city which we          didn't
 take from them2 sixty cities1 all the  
region of ,argob1          the kingdom  
of ,og in ,bashan4  #jjc3jje ,all these 
were cities fortified with high walls1  
gates1 and bars2          besides the   
unwalled towns a great many4  #jjc3jjf  
,we utterly destroyed them1 as we did to
 ,sihon king of ,heshbon1               
utterly destroying every inhabited city1

  #jjc3jaj all the cities of the plain1 
and all ,gilead1 and all ,bashan1       

to ,salecah and ,edrei1 cities of the   
kingdom of ,og in ,bashan4  #jjc3jaa    
7,for only ,og king of ,bashan remained 
of the remnant of          the ,rephaim2
 behold1 his bedstead was a bedstead of

pass over armed before          your    
brothers the children of ,israel1 all

wives1 and your little ones1 and your   
livestock1          7,i know that you   
have much livestock71 shall abide in    
your          cities which ,i have given

let me go over and see the good land    
that is beyond          the ,jordan1    
that goodly mountain1 and ,lebanon4     

#jjc3jbf ,but ,yahweh was angry with me 
for your sakes1 and didn't              
listen to me2 and ,yahweh said to me1   
,let it suffice you2          speak no  
more to me of this matter4  #jjc3jbg ,go
 up to the top of ,pisgah1 and lift up  
your eyes westward1          and        
northward1 and southward1 and eastward1 
and see with your eyes3          for you
 shall not go over this ,jordan4        
#jjc3jbh ,but charge ,joshua1 and       
encourage him1 and strengthen him2      
for he shall go over before this people1
 and he shall cause          them to    
inherit the land which you shall see4

,israel1 listen to the statutes and to  
the ordinances1 which ,i          teach 
you1 to do them2 that you may live1 and

neither shall          you diminish from

 it1 that you may keep the commandments

for all the men who followed ,baal      
,peor1 ,yahweh your ,god has            
destroyed them from the midst of you4

,yahweh your ,god are alive everyone

have taught you statutes and ordinances1
 even as ,yahweh          my ,god       
commanded me1 that you should do so in  
the midst          of the land where you

therefore and do them2 for this is your 
wisdom and your          understanding  
in the sight of the peoples1 who shall  
hear all          these statutes1 and   
say1 ,surely this great nation is a wise
          and understanding people4

there1 that has a god so near to them1  
as ,yahweh our ,god is whenever we call 
on him8  #jjd3jjh ,what great nation is 

there1 that has statutes and ordinances 
so righteous as all this law1 which ,i  
set before you this day8  #jjd3jji ,only
 take heed to yourself1 and keep your   
soul diligently1          lest you      
forget the things which your eyes saw1  
and lest they          depart from your 
heart all the days of your life2 but    
make          them known to your        
children and your children's children2

,yahweh your ,god in ,horeb1            
when ,yahweh said to me1 ,assemble me   
the people1 and ,i          will make   
them hear my words1 that they may learn 
to fear          me all the days that   
they live on the earth1 and that they

 came near and stood under the mountain2
 and the mountain          burned with  
fire to the heart of the sky1 with      
darkness1          cloud1 and thick     
darkness4  #jjd3jab ,yahweh spoke to you
 out of the midst of the fire3          
you heard the voice of words1 but you   

saw no form2 only you          heard a  
voice4  #jjd3jac ,he declared to you his
 covenant1 which he commanded you       
to perform1 even the ten commandments2  
and he wrote them          on two tables
 of stone4  #jjd3jad ,yahweh commanded  
me at that time to teach you statutes   
and ordinances1 that you might do them  
in the land where you          go over  
to possess it4  #jjd3jae ,take therefore
 good heed to yourselves2 for you saw no
 manner          of form on the day that
 ,yahweh spoke to you in ,horeb out     
of the midst of the fire4  #jjd3jaf     
,lest you corrupt yourselves1 and make  
yourself an engraved image          in  
the form of any figure1 the likeness of 
male or female1  #jjd3jag the likeness  
of any animal that is on the earth1 the 
likeness          of any winged bird    
that flies in the sky1  #jjd3jah the    
likeness of anything that creeps on the 
ground1 the likeness          of any    
fish that is in the water under the     
earth2  #jjd3jai and lest you lift up   

your eyes to the sky1 and when you see  
the sun and the moon and the stars1 even
 all the army of the sky1          you  
are drawn away and worship them1 and    
serve them1          which ,yahweh your 
,god has allotted to all the peoples    
under          the whole sky4  #jjd3jbj 
,but ,yahweh has taken you1 and brought 
you forth out of the iron               
furnace1 out of ,egypt1 to be to him a  
people of inheritance1          as at   
this day4  #jjd3jba ,furthermore ,yahweh
 was angry with me for your sakes1      
and swore that ,i should not go over the
 ,jordan1 and that ,i          should   
not go in to that good land1 which      
,yahweh your ,god          gives you for
 an inheritance3  #jjd3jbb but ,i must  
die in this land1 ,i must not go over   
the ,jordan2          but you shall go  
over1 and possess that good land4

been long in the land1 and shall corrupt

and shall          do that which is evil

call heaven and earth to witness against
 you this day1          that you shall  
soon utterly perish from off the land   
whereunto          you go over the      
,jordan to possess it2 you shall not    
prolong          your days on it1 but   
shall utterly be destroyed4  #jjd3jbg   
,yahweh will scatter you among the      
peoples1 and you shall          be left 
few in number among the nations1 where  
,yahweh shall          lead you away4

the work of men's hands1 wood and stone1

          which neither see1 nor hear1  
nor eat1 nor smell4  #jjd3jbi ,but from 
there you shall seek ,yahweh your ,god1 
and you shall          find him1 when   
you search after him with all your heart
          and with all your soul4

and all these things are come on you1   
in the latter days you shall return to

them on two tables of stone1 and gave

 you heard the voice out of the midst   
of the darkness1 while the mountain was 
burning with fire1          that you    
came near to me1 even all the heads of  
your tribes1          and your elders2

,i have heard the voice of the words    
of this people1 which they have spoken

keep all my commandments always1 that it

 the ,jebusite1          seven nations

deliver them up before you1          and

 you shall strike them2 then you shall  
utterly destroy them3          you shall
 make no covenant with them1 nor show

you make marriages with them2 your      
daughter you          shall not give to 
his son1 nor his daughter shall you take

 will turn away your son from following 
me1 that they          may serve other

love on you1 nor choose you1 because you

          were more in number than any  
people2 for you were the fewest

,yahweh loves you1 and because he would 
keep the oath          which he swore to

out with          a mighty hand1 and    
redeemed you out of the house of        
bondage1          from the hand of

keeps covenant and loving kindness with 
them who love          him and keep his 
commandments to a thousand generations1

he will not be slack to him who hates

keep with          you the covenant and 
the loving kindness which he swore

you2          he will also bless the    
fruit of your body and the fruit        
of your ground1 your grain and your new 
wine and your oil1          the increase
 of your livestock and the young of your
 flock1          in the land which he   
swore to your fathers to give you4

 peoples3  there shall not be           
male or female barren among you1 or     
among your livestock4  #jjg3jae ,yahweh 
will take away from you all sickness2   
and none of the evil          diseases  
of ,egypt1 which you know1 he will put  
on you1          but will lay them on   
all those who hate you4  #jjg3jaf ,you  
shall consume all the peoples whom      
,yahweh your ,god          shall deliver
 to you2 your eye shall not pity them3  
neither shall you serve their gods2 for 

that will be a          snare to you4

heart1 ,these nations are more than ,i2 
how can ,i dispossess them8  #jjg3jah   
you shall not be afraid of them3  you   
shall well remember          what       
,yahweh your ,god did to ,pharaoh1 and

trials which your eyes saw1 and the     
signs1          and the wonders1 and the
 mighty hand1 and the outstretched arm1 
by which ,yahweh your ,god brought you  
out3  so shall ,yahweh          your    
,god do to all the peoples of whom you  
are afraid4  #jjg3jbj ,moreover ,yahweh 
your ,god will send the hornet among    
them1          until those who are left1
 and hide themselves1          perish   
from before you4  #jjg3jba ,you shall   
not be scared of them2 for ,yahweh your 
,god is in          the midst of you1 a 
great and awesome ,god4  #jjg3jbb       
,yahweh your ,god will cast out those   
nations before you          by little   
and little3  you may not consume them at

 once1          lest the animals of the 
field increase on you4  #jjg3jbc ,but   
,yahweh your ,god will deliver them up  
before you1 and will          confuse   
them with a great confusion1 until they 
be destroyed4  #jjg3jbd ,he will deliver
 their kings into your hand1 and you    
shall make their name to perish from    
under the sky3          there shall no  
man be able to stand before you1 until  
you          have destroyed them4       
#jjg3jbe ,the engraved images of their  
gods shall you burn with fire3          
you shall not covet the silver or the   
gold that is on them1          nor take 
it to you1 lest you be snared therein2  
for it is          an abomination to

not bring an abomination into your      
house1 and become          a devoted    
thing like it3  you shall utterly detest
 it1          and you shall utterly     
abhor it2 for it is a devoted thing4

observe to do1 that you may live1 and   
multiply1 and go          in and possess
 the land which ,yahweh swore to your

the wilderness1 that he might humble    
you1          to prove you1 to know what

would keep his commandments1 or not4

you to hunger1 and fed you with manna1

make you know that man does not live by

on you1 neither did your foot swell1

consider in your heart that as a man    
chastens his son1          so ,yahweh

your ,god1 to walk          in his ways1

 your ,god brings you into a good land1 
a land          of brooks of water1 of  
springs1 and underground water flowing

 of wheat and barley1 and vines and fig 
trees and pomegranates2          a land 
of olive trees and honey2  #jjh3jji a   
land in which you shall eat bread       
without scarceness1          you shall  
not lack anything in it2 a land whose   
stones are iron1          and out of    
whose hills you may dig copper4         
#jjh3jaj ,you shall eat and be full1 and
 you shall bless ,yahweh your ,god      
for the good land which he has given    
you4  #jjh3jaa ,beware lest you forget  
,yahweh your ,god1 in not keeping       
his commandments1 and his ordinances1   
and his statutes1          which ,i     
command you this day3  #jjh3jab lest1   
when you have eaten and are full1 and   
have built          goodly houses1 and  
lived therein2  #jjh3jac and when your  

herds and your flocks multiply1 and your
 silver          and your gold is       
multiplied1 and all that you have is    
multiplied2  #jjh3jad then your heart be
 lifted up1 and you forget ,yahweh your 
,god1          who brought you forth out
 of the land of ,egypt1 out of          
the house of bondage2  #jjh3jae who led 
you through the great and terrible      
wilderness1          in which were fiery
 serpents and scorpions1 and thirsty    
ground where was no water2 who brought  
you forth water out          of the rock

wilderness with manna1 which your       
fathers          didn't know2 that he   
might humble you1 and that he might     
prove you1          to do you good at

say in your heart1 ,my power and the    
might of my          hand has gotten me 
this wealth4  #jjh3jah ,but you shall   
remember ,yahweh your ,god1 for it is he
 who gives          you power to get    
wealth2 that he may establish his       

covenant          which he swore to your

shall be1 if you shall forget ,yahweh   
your ,god1 and walk          after other
 gods1 and serve them1 and worship them1
 ,i testify          against you this   
day that you shall surely perish4

makes to perish before you1          so 
shall you perish2 because you wouldn't  
listen to the voice          of ,yahweh

you are to pass over the ,jordan this   
day1 to go          in to dispossess    
nations greater and mightier than       
yourself1          cities great and

whom you have heard say1 ,who can stand

for the wickedness of these nations

 righteousness1 or for the uprightness  
of your heart1          do you go in to 
possess their land2 but for the         
wickedness          of these nations    
,yahweh your ,god does drive them out   
from          before you1 and that he   
may establish the word which ,yahweh    
swore to your fathers1 to ,abraham1 to  
,isaac1 and to ,jacob4  #jji3jjf ,know  
therefore1 that ,yahweh your ,god       
doesn't give you this          good land
 to possess it for your righteousness2  
for you are          a stiff-necked

wilderness3  from the day that you went 
forth          out of the land of

you have been rebellious against

provoked ,yahweh to wrath1 and ,yahweh  
was angry          with you to destroy

 the mountain to receive the tables of  
stone1          even the tables of the  
covenant which ,yahweh made with you1   
then ,i stayed on the mountain forty    
days and forty nights2          ,i did  
neither eat bread nor drink water4      
#jji3jaj ,yahweh delivered to me the two
 tables of stone written          with  
the finger of ,god2 and on them was     
written according          to all the   
words1 which ,yahweh spoke with you on  
the mountain          out of the midst  
of the fire in the day of the assembly4

forty days and forty nights1            
that ,yahweh gave me the two tables of  
stone1 even the tables          of the  
covenant4  #jji3jab ,yahweh said to me1 
,arise1 get you down quickly from hence2
          for your people whom you have 
brought forth out of ,egypt             
have corrupted themselves2 they have    
quickly turned aside          out of the
 way which ,i commanded them2 they have 
made them          a molten image4

me1 saying1 ,i have seen this people1   
and behold1 it is a stiff-necked people3

destroy them1 and blot out their name   
from under the sky2 and ,i will make of

turned and came down from the mountain1 
and the mountain          was burning

covenant          were in my two hands4

you had made you a molten calf3  you had
 turned aside quickly          out of   
the way which ,yahweh had commanded you4

tables1 and cast them out of my two     
hands1          and broke them before   
your eyes4  #jji3jah ,i fell down before
 ,yahweh1 as at the first1 forty days   
and forty nights2 ,i did neither eat    
bread nor drink water2          because 
of all your sin which you sinned1 in    
doing that which          was evil in

according to          the blessing of

shall not eat the blood2 you shall pour 
it out on          the earth as water4

or of your new wine1 or of your oil1 or

cut off the nations from before you1

you          not inquire after their    
gods1 saying1 ,how do these nations

abomination          to ,yahweh1 which  
he hates1 have they done to their gods2 
for even their sons and their daughters 
do they burn in the fire          to

 command you1 that shall you observe to 
do3          you shall not add thereto1 
nor diminish from it4  #jac3jja ,if     
there arise in the midst of you a       
prophet1 or a dreamer          of       
dreams1 and he give you a sign or a

wonder come to pass1 of which he spoke  

to you1 saying1 ,let us go after other

shall not listen to the words of that

or far off from you1 from the one end of

your hand shall be first on him

abomination is done in the midst of you1

inhabitants of that city with the edge

livestock of it1 with the edge of the

the spoil of it into the midst

 fire the city1          and all the    

spoil of it every whit1 to ,yahweh your 
,god3          and it shall be a heap   
forever2 it shall not be built again4

the devoted thing to your hand2         
that ,yahweh may turn from the          
fierceness of his anger1          and   
show you mercy1 and have compassion on  
you1 and multiply you1          as he

the animals which you may eat3  the ox1 
the sheep1          and the goat1

the roebuck1 and the wild goat1         
and the ibex1 and the antelope1 and the 
chamois4  #jad3jjf ,every animal that   
parts the hoof1 and has the hoof cloven 
in two1          and chews the cud1     
among the animals1 that may you eat4    
#jad3jjg ,nevertheless these you shall  
not eat of them that chew the cud1      
or of those who have the hoof cloven3   
the camel1 and the hare1          and   
the rabbit2 because they chew the cud   
but don't part the hoof1          they  
are unclean to you4  #jad3jjh ,the pig1 
because it has a split hoof but doesn't 
chew the cud1          is unclean to    
you3  of their flesh you shall not eat1 
and their carcasses you shall not touch4
  #jad3jji ,these you may eat of all    
that are in the waters3                 
whatever has fins and scales may you    
eat2  #jad3jaj and whatever doesn't have

 fins and scales you shall not eat2     
it is unclean to you4  #jad3jaa ,of all 
clean birds you may eat4  #jad3jab ,but 
these are they of which you shall not   
eat3  the eagle1          and the       
vulture1 and the osprey1  #jad3jac and  
the red kite1 and the falcon1 and the   
kite after its kind1  #jad3jad and every
 raven after its kind1  #jad3jae and the
 ostrich1 and the owl1 and the seagull1 
and the hawk          after its kind1   
#jad3jaf the little owl1 and the great  
owl1 and the horned owl1  #jad3jag and  
the pelican1 and the vulture1 and the   
cormorant1  #jad3jah and the stork1 and 
the heron after its kind1 and the       
hoopoe1          and the bat4  #jad3jai 
,all winged creeping things are unclean 
to you3  they shall          not be     
eaten4  #jad3jbj ,of all clean birds you
 may eat4  #jad3jba ,you shall not eat  
of anything that dies of itself3        
you may give it to the foreigner living 
among you who is          within your   
gates1 that he may eat it2 or you may   

sell it          to a foreigner3  for   
you are a holy people to ,yahweh your   
,god4          ,you shall not boil a kid
 in its mother's milk4  #jad3jbb ,you   
shall surely tithe all the increase of  
your seed1          that which comes    
forth from the field year by year4      
#jad3jbc ,you shall eat before ,yahweh  
your ,god1 in the place          which  
he shall choose1 to cause his name to   
dwell there1          the tithe of your 
grain1 of your new wine1 and of your    
oil1          and the firstborn of your 
herd and of your flock2 that you        
may learn to fear ,yahweh your ,god

long for you1 so that you are not able  
to carry it1 because the place is too   
far from you1          which ,yahweh    
your ,god shall choose1 to set his name

money          in your hand1 and shall  
go to the place which ,yahweh your

shall bestow the money for whatever your
 soul desires1          for oxen1 or for
 sheep1 or for wine1 or for strong      
drink1          or for whatever your    
soul asks of you2 and you shall eat     
there before ,yahweh your ,god1 and you 
shall rejoice1          you and your    
household4  #jad3jbg ,the ,levite who is
 within your gates1 you shall not       
forsake him2          for he has no     
portion nor inheritance with you4       
#jad3jbh ,at the end of every three     
years you shall bring forth all         
the tithe of your increase in the same  
year1 and shall lay          it up

you arise1 and go up to the place which

priests the ,levites1 and to the judge  
who shall be in those days3  and you    
shall inquire2          and they shall  
show you the sentence of judgment4

tenor of the sentence which they

shall observe to do according to all

,yahweh has said to you1 ,you shall

 when he sits on the throne of his

,if a ,levite comes from any of your

 all the desire          of his soul to

his brothers the ,levites do1 who stand

shall have like portions to eat1 besides
 that which comes          of the sale

are come into the land which ,yahweh    
your ,god gives you1          you shall 
not learn to do after the abominations

 not be found with you anyone who makes 
his son or his          daughter to pass
 through the fire1 one who uses         
divination1          one who practices  
sorcery1 or an enchanter1 or a sorcerer1
  #jah3jaa or a charmer1 or a consulter 
with a familiar spirit1 or a wizard1    

or a necromancer4  #jah3jab ,for whoever
 does these things is an abomination to 
,yahweh3          and because of these  
abominations ,yahweh your ,god does     
drive          them out from before you4
  #jah3jac ,you shall be perfect with   
,yahweh your ,god4  #jah3jad ,for these 
nations1 that you shall dispossess1     
listen to those          who practice   
sorcery1 and to diviners2 but as for    
you1          ,yahweh your ,god has not

your ,god will raise up to you a prophet
 from the midst          of you1 of your
 brothers1 like me2 to him you shall    
listen2  #jah3jaf according to all that 
you desired of ,yahweh your ,god in     
,horeb          in the day of the       
assembly1 saying1 ,let me not hear again

happen1 that is the thing which ,yahweh 
has not spoken3  the prophet has spoken 
it presumptuously1          you shall   
not be afraid of him4  #jai3jja ,when   
,yahweh your ,god shall cut off the     
nations1 whose land          ,yahweh    
your ,god gives you1 and you succeed    

them1 and dwell          in their       
cities1 and in their houses2  #jai3jjb  
you shall set apart three cities for you
 in the midst of your land1             
which ,yahweh your ,god gives you to    
possess it4  #jai3jjc ,you shall prepare
 you the way1 and divide the borders of 
your land1          which ,yahweh your  
,god causes you to inherit1 into three  
parts1          that every manslayer may
 flee there4  #jai3jjd ,this is the case
 of the manslayer1 that shall flee there
 and live3          whoever kills his   
neighbor unawares1 and didn't hate him  
in time past2  #jai3jje as when a man   
goes into the forest with his neighbor  
to hew wood1          and his hand      
fetches a stroke with the axe to cut    
down the tree1          and the head    
slips from the handle1 and lights on his
 neighbor1          so that he dies2 he 
shall flee to one of these cities and   
live3  #jai3jjf lest the avenger of     
blood pursue the manslayer1 while his   
heart is hot1 and overtake him1 because 

the way is long1          and strike him
 mortally2 whereas he was not worthy of 
death1          inasmuch as he didn't   
hate him in time past4  #jai3jjg        
,therefore ,i command you1 saying1 ,you 
shall set apart three          cities   
for you4  #jai3jjh ,if ,yahweh your ,god
 enlarge your border1 as he has sworn   
to your fathers1 and give you all the   
land which he promised          to give 
to your fathers2  #jai3jji if you shall 
keep all this commandment to do it1     
which ,i command          you this day1 
to love ,yahweh your ,god1 and to walk  
ever          in his ways2 then shall   
you add three cities more for you1      
besides these three3  #jai3jaj that     
innocent blood not be shed in the midst 
of your land1          which ,yahweh    
your ,god gives you for an inheritance1 
and so blood be on you4  #jai3jaa ,but  
if any man hate his neighbor1 and lie in
 wait for him1          and rise up     
against him1 and strike him mortally so 
that he dies1          and he flee into 

one of these cities2  #jai3jab then the 
elders of his city shall send and bring 
him there1          and deliver him into
 the hand of the avenger of blood1      
that he may die4  #jai3jac ,your eye    
shall not pity him1 but you shall put   
away the innocent          blood from   
,israel1 that it may go well with you4  
#jai3jad ,you shall not remove your     
neighbor's landmark1 which they of old  
time have set1 in your inheritance which
 you shall inherit1          in the land
 that ,yahweh your ,god gives you to    
possess it4  #jai3jae ,one witness shall
 not rise up against a man for any      
iniquity1          or for any sin1 in   
any sin that he sins3  at the mouth     
of two witnesses1 or at the mouth of    
three witnesses1          shall a matter

unrighteous witness rise up against any 
man to testify          against him of  
wrong-doing1  #jai3jag then both the    
men1 between whom the controversy is1   
shall stand          before ,yahweh1    

before the priests and the judges who   
shall          be in those days2        
#jai3jah and the judges shall make      
diligent inquisition3  and1 behold1     
if the witness is a false witness1 and  
has testified falsely          against  
his brother2  #jai3jai then shall you do
 to him1 as he had thought to do to his 
brother3          so shall you put away 
the evil from the midst of you4         
#jai3jbj ,those who remain shall hear1  
and fear1 and shall henceforth          
commit no more any such evil in the     
midst of you4  #jai3jba ,your eyes shall
 not pity2 life shall go for life1 eye  
for eye1          tooth for tooth1 hand

 you go forth to battle against your    
enemies1 and see horses1          and   
chariots1 and a people more than you1   
you shall          not be afraid of     
them2 for ,yahweh your ,god is with you1
          who brought you up out of the 
land of ,egypt4  #jbj3jjb ,it shall be1 
when you draw near to the battle1 that  

the priest          shall approach and  
speak to the people1  #jbj3jjc and shall
 tell them1 ,hear1 ,israel1 you draw    
near this day          to battle against
 your enemies3  don't let your heart    
faint2          don't be afraid1 nor    
tremble1 neither be scared of them2

 goes with you1 to fight for you        
against your enemies1 to save you4

the people1 saying1 ,what man is        
there who has built a new house1 and has

and return to his house1 lest he die in 
the battle1          and another man

there who has planted a vineyard1 and   
has not          used the fruit of it8  
let him go and return to his house1     
lest he die in the battle1 and another

 man is there who has pledged to be     
married a wife1          and has not    
taken her8 let him go and return to his 

house1          lest he die in the      
battle1 and another man take her4

further to the people1 and they shall   
say1          ,what man is there who is 
fearful and faint-hearted8 let him      
go and return to his house1 lest his    
brother's heart melt          as his

officers have made an end of speaking   
to the people1 that they shall appoint  
captains of armies          at the head

near to a city to fight against it1 then

answer of peace1 and open to you1       
then it shall be1 that all the people   
who are found therein          shall    
become tributary to you1 and shall serve

peace with you1 but will make war       
against you1          then you shall    
besiege it3  #jbj3jac and when ,yahweh  
your ,god delivers it into your hand1   

you shall          strike every male of 
it with the edge of the sword3  #jbj3jad
 but the women1 and the little ones1 and
 the livestock1          and all that is
 in the city1 even all the spoil of it1 
shall you take for a prey to yourself2  
and you shall eat          the spoil of 
your enemies1 which ,yahweh your ,god   
has given you4  #jbj3jae ,thus shall you
 do to all the cities which are very far
 off          from you1 which are not of
 the cities of these nations4  #jbj3jaf 
,but of the cities of these peoples1    
that ,yahweh your ,god gives you        
for an inheritance1 you shall save alive
 nothing that breathes2  #jbj3jag but   
you shall utterly destroy them3  the    
,hittite1 and the ,amorite1          the
 ,canaanite1 and the ,perizzite1 the    
,hivite1 and the ,jebusite2          as 
,yahweh your ,god has commanded you2

besiege a city a long time1 in making   
war          against it to take it1 you

trees of which you know that they are   
not trees          for food1 you shall  
destroy and cut them down2 and you shall
          build bulwarks against the    
city that makes war with you1

found slain in the land which ,yahweh   
your ,god gives          you to possess 
it1 lying in the field1 and it isn't    
known          who has struck him2      
#jba3jjb then your elders and your      
judges shall come forth1 and they shall 
measure to the cities which are round   
about him who is slain3  #jba3jjc and it
 shall be1 that the city which is       
nearest to the slain man1          even 

the elders of that city shall take a    
heifer of the herd1          which      
hasn't been worked with1 and which has  
not drawn          in the yoke2         
#jba3jjd and the elders of that city    
shall bring down the heifer to a        
valley with running water1 which is     
neither plowed nor sown1          and   
shall break the heifer's neck there in  
the valley4  #jba3jje ,the priests the  
sons of ,levi shall come near2 for them 
,yahweh          your ,god has chosen to
 minister to him1 and to bless in the   
name          of ,yahweh2 and according 
to their word shall every controversy

elders of that city1 who are nearest to 
the slain man1          shall wash their
 hands over the heifer whose neck was

 and they shall answer and say1 ,our    
hands have not shed this blood1

 ,forgive1 ,yahweh1 your people ,israel1
 whom you have redeemed1          and   

don't allow innocent blood to remain in

,israel4  ,the blood shall be forgiven

you1          when you shall do that    
which is right in the eyes of ,yahweh4

shall call him1 and speak to him3

spit          in his face2 and she shall
 answer and say1 ,so shall it be done   
to the man who does not build up his

of him who has          his shoe untied4

 with another1 and the wife          of 
the one draws near to deliver her

and you shall be tossed back and forth  
among all the kingdoms of the earth4

build a house1 and you shall not dwell

not eat of it3  your donkey shall be

book1 that you may fear this glorious

of your seed1 even great plagues1 and of
 long continuance1          and sore

 to the voice          of ,yahweh your

 ,yahweh rejoiced over you to do you

,yahweh will rejoice over you to cause  
you to perish1 and to destroy you2 and  
you shall be plucked          from off  
the land where you go in to possess it4

all peoples1 from the one          end  
of the earth even to the other end of   
the earth2          and there you shall 
serve other gods1 which you have not    
known1          you nor your fathers1

and there          shall be no rest for 
the sole of your foot3  but ,yahweh     
will give you there a trembling heart1  
and failing of eyes1          and pining

tribe1 whose heart turns away this day

 serve the gods of those nations2 lest  
there should          be among you a    
root that bears gall and wormwood2

the words of this curse1          that  
he bless himself in his heart1 saying1  
,i shall have peace1          though ,i 
walk in the stubbornness of my heart1 to
 destroy          the moist with the

him1 but then the anger of ,yahweh      
and his jealousy will smoke against that
 man1 and all          the curse that is
 written in this book shall lie on him1 
and ,yahweh will blot out his name from

set him apart to evil out of all the    
tribes of ,israel1          according to
 all the curses of the covenant that is 
written          in this book of the

your children who shall rise up after   
you1          and the foreigner who     
shall come from a far land1 shall say1  
when they see the plagues of that land1 
and the sicknesses          with which

that the whole land of it is sulfur1 and
 salt1 and a burning1          that it  
is not sown1 nor bears1 nor any grass   
grows therein1          like the        
overthrow of ,sodom and ,gomorrah1

,yahweh overthrew in his anger1 and in

nations shall say1 ,why has ,yahweh done
 thus          to this land8 what means

forsook the covenant of ,yahweh1        
the ,god of their fathers1 which he made

 forth out of the land of ,egypt1

 and worshiped them1 gods that          
they didn't know1 and that he had not

anger of ,yahweh was kindled against    
this land1          to bring on it all  
the curse that is written in this book2

their land in anger1 and in wrath1      
and in great indignation1 and cast them 
into another land1          as at this  
day4  #jbi3jbi ,the secret things belong
 to ,yahweh our ,god2 but the things    
that are revealed belong to us and to   
our children forever1          that we  
may do all the words of this law4

these things are come on you1           
the blessing and the curse1 which ,i    
have set before you1          and you   
shall call them to mind among all the

obey his voice          according to all

compassion on you1 and will return and  
gather you from all          the        
peoples1 where ,yahweh your ,god has

 outcasts are in the uttermost parts of 
the heavens1 from there will ,yahweh    
your ,god gather you1          and from 
there he will bring you back3  #jcj3jje 
and ,yahweh your ,god will bring you    
into the land which your                
fathers possessed1 and you shall possess
 it2 and he will do          you good1  
and multiply you above your fathers4

circumcise your heart1 and the heart    
of your seed1 to love ,yahweh your ,god 
with all your heart1          and with  
all your soul1 that you may live4

these curses on your enemies1           
and on those who hate you1 who
