decree to all the             treasurers

 all this was a burnt offering unto the

 taken of their daughters for

sons3 so that the holy seed have mingled
 themselves with             the people 
of those lands3 yea1 the hand of the    
princes and             rulers hath been

,and when ,i heard this thing1 ,i rent  
my garment and my mantle1               
and plucked off the hair of my head and 
of my beard1 and sat             down

assembled unto me every one that        
trembled at the             words of the

transgression of             those that 
had been carried away2 and ,i sat       
astonied until the             evening

evening sacrifice ,i arose up from my   
heaviness2 and             having rent  
my garment and my mantle1 ,i fell upon  
my knees1             and spread out my

 ashamed and blush to lift up my face

a wall in ,judah and in ,jerusalem4

shall we say after this8 for we have    
forsaken thy commandments1

by thy servants the prophets1

land with the filthiness of the people  
of the lands1             with their    
abominations1 which have filled it from 
one end to             another with

therefore give not your daughters unto  
their sons1 neither             take    
their daughters unto your sons1 nor seek
 their peace or             their wealth
 for ever3 that ye may be strong1 and   
eat the good             of the land1   
and leave it for an inheritance to your

upon us for our evil deeds1 and for     

our great trespass1 seeing that thou our

affinity             with the people of

taken strange wives of the people of the

no bread1 nor drink water3 for he       
mourned             because of the      
transgression of them that had been

twentieth day of the month2 and all the 

people             sat in the street of

this matter1 and for the great rain4

up1 and said unto them1 ,ye have        
transgressed1 and have taken strange    
wives1 to increase the

 therefore make confession unto the

 and do his pleasure3 and separate      
yourselves from the             people  
of the land1 and from the strange wives4

 the people are many1 and it is a time  
of much rain1 and we             are not
 able to stand without1 neither is this 
a work of one             day or two3   
for we are many that have transgressed  
in this             thing4

the congregation stand1 and let all     

them which have taken strange wives in  
our cities come at             appointed
 times1 and with them the elders of     
every city1 and             the judges  
thereof1 until the fierce wrath of our

were employed about this matter3 and
